@kc, Yup... zero HUD... very frustrating game BTW. I still liked it though, great atmosphere and story.
@nasty... Call of the Cthulhu was an XBox/PC game that came out last year (?). It's based on H.P. Lovercraft's short stories about the Cthulhu mythology. It was a combination of survival horror / FPS / adventure game. It had no crosshairs, no ammo counters, no health bar and the main character has a tendency of going crazy if he saw something disturbing or gruesome. Good creepy game but some design flaws made it frustrating. 7/10.

If done properly it works quite well. Remember that none of the pre-RE4 Resident Evil games had a HUD, neither did any of the pre-SH4 Silent Hill games. And they all worked pretty well without a HUD.

And ye, what you have asked for, you shall receive. 2K just let us know that the votes have been counted up and the final contents of the BioShock collectors edition have been decided upon. We have tallied up the votes, read your comments, and are happy to announce the details of the BioShock Limited Edition. Available on August 21st (the same day as the regular BioShock edition), the LE will include a Big Daddy figurine, a "Making Of" DVD, and a soundtrack CD. The LE packaging will also be an embossed graphic designed by the winner of the Cover Art Contest going on now at www.cultofrapture.com. So not only do we get a shiny big collectors edition, but some fan gets their artwork on the cover? Mad. Props. The PC version will cost USD$60, while the 360 one will set you back USD$70, and sadly both are only going to be available at EB/GameStop. Pics, as well as European/Australian prices and details, aren't locked down yet, but should be soon. Shame we didn't get that steelbook case. That was mighty nice source-kotaku

The submerged world of Rapture would be nothing without some fabulous water effects to make the experience all the more convincing. Not satisfied to make do with standard flat water textures or basic flow and ripple effects, Irrational has outdone itself in an effort to replicate the way in which water acts and reacts under all sorts of conditions. To that end, a fresh video and Q&A has just been released via the official site. In it, you'll get a taste of a few of the coolest effects on display. Marvel at the warping! Stare in wonder at the refraction! The team also answers some burning questions about the viscous substance, including the differences between Direct X 9 and 10, as well as the Xbox 360 and PC versions. It's very cool stuff indeed, and it makes us even more hungry for playable code. Roll on, release. xbox360.ign.com/articles/784/784728p1.htmlpeace

not really! but the aiming with the 360 controller may get a bit difficult... if u look on the bright side, ur shooting skills might increase

I'm sure they'll come up with some kind of system which will make shooting without the crosshairs more intuitive.
