The original Tenchu games on PSX were excellent. However, it lost its fans with the PS2 version, I guess.
And Xeno, its very different from Ninja Gaiden. Tenchu is more of a stealth based game where not killing enemies gets you better rankings.
Somehow, I feel that the game has lost mostly due to the departure of Activision.
Lets hope it shines this time around, I simply loved this game.

5.0 Presentation The shop's menu screens are convoluted and fail to provide an accurate view of what you're purchasing. Static loading screens and storyboards are so 1998. 5.0 Graphics Basic textures and models make Z look like a PS2 port. Set pieces provide a cohesive atmosphere, but the lack of variety quickly makes the whole package seem uninspired. 5.0 Sound The score is pleasant enough, although its never very noticeable. What little dialogue and environmental sounds exist soon grows tiresome. 4.0 Gameplay Tenchu Z forces you to seek out the fun thanks to its laughable enemy AI, forgiving difficulty and repetitive level design. 4.0 Lasting Appeal There are a lot of missions, but most are mild variations of earlier excursions. Xbox Live has the potential to extend play if FromSoft fixes Tenchu’s latency issues. 5.2 Mediocre OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average)

yea i played all the shinobi games and found that sega genesis part was the best, talking of tenchu hmm only psone edition was worth playin and i almost broked the dvd of tenchu(ps2) if my friend would not had interfered. tenchu z is no diff than the ps2 version but the only marked difference now is in my very own perception as i can't think abt breaking a 2k dvd
