crackdown in much fun ,but saints row is a better all-round game.

^^ Agreed. I started playing Saints Row and Crackdown the same time and I find myself playing SR much more than Crackdown. SR has many more things to do, plus all the car/character customization is a lot of fun! I wish they added some RPG like stats like GTA:SA and Crackdown and it would be a perfect game! I also like the fact that there no airplanes or choppers to pilot in SR. That's one thing I really hated in GTA:VC and SA...
It might be a copycat game and one of the most hated game among GTA fans but Saints Row is a lot of fun. Too bad your next door GTA fanboy just won't admit it!

if saints row was named gta4 and polished a bit the game would have gotten 9.5+ rating from all the sites;.

Too bad your next door GTA fanboy just won't admit it! you know what, these volition guys (SR dev) just sat with a copy of GTA SA, marking each frame of the game, judged what is bad, whats good....ripped off the bad content, kept the good content, made a HD version of it, realized its too difficult for their tidbit brains to chalk out a map like in SA or implement the flying controls....then afraid they mite get sued for copyright infringment by R*, changed the characters names, changed the city name and threw in a garbled story and some so called new side activities ! Also, in the mean time, they found that they absolutely have neither the time nor the patience to sketch out a font for their cover....so they ripped it off GTA SA as well...! And here we have ppl buying it and calling it a brilliant game....if this game is brilliant then Anu Malik is the best music director of bollywood  |

^^ Well, I do agree with you, I DID say that it blatantly copies GTA, but it is good. And I never said I hated GTA in the first place (only hate the flying missions). I'm sure GTA IV is gonna blow SR and all other sandbox games out of the water come October...
Besides it's not the only game which copies another game so blatantly. Almost all shooters made before Half Life (and some made even after that) were copies or DOOM. Almost all top down action RPGs are copies of Diablo. So what GTA III did was it created a new genre of sandbox games. Saints Row, Just Cause, Crackdown, True Crime (yuck!) etc are all games of the same genre.

GTAIV will be good...i just hope they actually work on the graphics this time around....SA looked terrible...fortunately that game was fun as hell so it didnt matter

something tells me gta4 will be a dissapointment ,but rockstar have surprised me time and again with warriors and bully ,so i expect nothing less from them this time too.

R* North have always delivered good games like GTA, manhunt etc. Its the R* Leeds who spoiled the series with GTA LCS and totally f**ked it up with GTA VCS  Fortunately, its R* North working on GTA 4 again and we can hope a good version ! But I highly doubt if GTA 4 will sell so many copies as its predecessor GTA SA (14 million worldwide on PS2 alone  ) First, its only on x360 and PS3, both of whom have just sold arnd 12 million copies together (at the max) Second, GTA series have sold millions only on PS2, in xbox and PC, their sales dont even equal a million respectively. So, either the console sales have to pick up or this game should be the driving factor for increased sales of x360 and ps3 ! All I hope is its worth the wait....GTA SA was way beyond all my expectations, I just hope GTA 4 continues the trend |

by the time it releases the total user base ahd be around 17-18 mill(ps3+360) gta4 should hit 6-8 mill easily
halo will hit over 5million
mgs4 might hit 3 million(if the gme releases this year 5M if it goes q2 08)

Yeah look at how well GOW is doing considering it's a 360 exclusive. GTA IV will undoubtedly do well!

crackdown or saints row..go for saints row cuz tht will be a game which ull play for some time..while crackdown ull get bored after a week..
anyways awesome review of the game u have covered everything up
