Yup...the voices were damn creepy...primary reason for me turning down the volume!  All in all a gr8 game...hope Jherico lives up to all the hype, havent played a genuienly scary game in a long long time! |

re4 was scary coz it had humunoid zombies which were cunning and agile in comparison to the dumbass crap they put in previous re games, i could never forget those creepy blind monsters who attacks by listening to sounds produced by leon's footsteps, and what abt the 'right hand' monster, believe me it scared the hell out of me and this monster was 1 of the coolest and scariest of all the bosses i confronted, i think all u guys r quite mature and doesn't get scared easily but no way that i'm gonna agree that re4 was not scary.
the games which r scary as hell r,
forbidden siren, ku on, fatal frame1,2 and 3, cold fear, evil dead, silent hill1,2,3 and 4
all these r ps2 games, i wonder why next gen consoles lack horror genre.
p.s- if any1 of u have played forbidden siren2 plz let me know as i never was able to find it anywhere.
and is there any horror game thread in this site?

Talking abt scary games i believe Silent Hill series holds the gold medal for that. Yea man the feeling that the monsters in the game were supernatural really infused a great boost of fear into the game. Resident evil only focussed on some experiment went wrong and wasnt so scary. Moreover the effects of changing into a different environment i.e. that is frm the real world to another world was pretty drastic in Silent Hill. And the sound effects were too creepy. I remember a scene in Silent Hill 3 when Heather goes into a room with a mirror and certainly the darkness begins to engulf the room with hell of scary bg music. Man that was a scene. I hope some of u might have played this game and those who have will definitely remember that scene. But as far as action is concerned Resident Evil series is superb and is scary in its own way. The scene when 'licker' first appears in RE2 and esp when he breaks mirror, the sudden several appearances of Nemesis esp when breaking through window in RE3 and the blind"wolverine-like" creature that pops off Leon's head in one shot in RE4 are some of the scary moments worth mentioning. Resident evil series is the greatest of all. Cheers to that.  |

O bp hunters were in RE1 and RE3 I remember that well. But i dont remember the name of the man with sharp claws in RE4.

Resident Evil 5 pushed back to sometime in 2009The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed some bad news today. Capcom's Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi had told Famitsu that Resident Evil 5 will not be making a 2008 release. He also stated that a 2010 release would be to late. So Takeuchi expected to ship Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime in 2009. Famitsu also revealed some new details regarding Resident Evil 5, like that your playing with Chris Redfield which appeared in former Resident Evil games as well. n4g.com/News-52822.aspx

Lol, now Crapcom might actually realize what happens when you try develop games for two dozen platforms for bucket load of cash, but don't have the resources to actually do it. DMC 4 is also delayed to early 2008.
