With the game set to hit store shelves in May, Turn 10 Studios has released some new details about their upcoming racing simulator Forza Motorsport™ 2. With more than 300 models from upwards of 50 of the world's leading manufacturers, Forza Motorsport 2 is all about helping racing enthusiasts own the cars they want to help them own the competition.
Silver Maserati
Imagine this beauty in your garage.
Check out the more than 30 models from Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, and Lamborghini—all of which will be fully customizable and are sure to leave tire tracks on your Xbox 360™! Click over to forzamotorsport.net to see the full list of European production cars, as well as new hi-res screenshots of several of the hottest vehicles.
Red Ferrari
Ferraris always look better in red.
Here are a few of the cars that you'll be racing with (and against!) when Forza Motorsport 2 hits retail shelves in May:
* Ferrari brings 15 of their most desirable models including the 2004 Ferrari F430, 2002 Enzo Ferrari, and even the classic 1969 Dino 246 GT. * From the country that has preserved the thrill of driving in the fast lane with its world famous Autobahn, Porsche delivers 13 sports cars ranging from the newest members of the 911 family—the 2007 911 GT3 (997) and 911 Turbo (997)—to fan favorites from yesteryear including the 1970 Porsche 914/6 and 1987 Porsche 959. * Five heart-stopping models from Lamborghini include coveted makes such as the 2005 Murcielago and 2005 Gallardo, as well as classic Diablo and Countach models. * Not to be outdone is Lamborghini's Italian counterpart, Maserati, who joins Forza Motorsport 2 with two of its revered exotics—the 2004 MC12 and the 2006 Gransport
As Forza Motorsport 2 races toward its retail debut, the development team will reveal additional models from the roster of more than 300 cars worldwide, including top European manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Lotus, Peugeot, and Jaguar in the coming weeks. Wireless Racing Wheel
One of the more notable new and improved features being added to the sequel of the famously popular Forza Motorsport™ is Force Feedback. Microsoft Games Studios and their partners have been hard at work optimizing Forza Motorsport 2 for the Wireless Racing Wheel with true force feedback as well as maximizing rumble in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to help you literally feel the road as your fully-tuned racer takes turns at triple digit speeds.
Please visit forzamotorsport.net for a more in-depth report on Force Feedback. Xbox.com will continue to keep you posted as the full car list is unveiled over the next few months.

Forza 2's Web Integration
Today, Microsoft and Turn 10 unveiled a newly designed page that showcases some of the ways you can get your Forza 2 fix when you're away from your Xbox 360 this May. By logging into the site with your Live account, you'll gain access to a host of cool features to whittle away your time away from your console.
Your primary place on Forzamotorsport.net will be the "My Stats" page. As confirmed today, Forza 2 will have a Photo Mode that goes a bit further than most console games have in the past. After taking your in-game shots, you'll be able to go to the store and view up to 5 of them on the Forza 2 webpage at any given time.
In addition to being able to show off your rides, you'll also be able to check your racing stats from the leaderboards, track your upcoming tournament schedule, and keep track of your, or other's, auction house status. Forzamotorsport.net will serve as a hub to browse the thousands of auctions currently going on in the game.
Turn 10 also put out a few details on how in-depth you'll be able to go with the auctions. All of the auctions will take place using in-game money. Sorry, potential Forza 2 entrepreneurs. In addition to being able to set the price, length, and "buy now" amounts on your auction, you'll also be able to spend some of your money to make your auction one of the featured sales.
Paintjobs can be locked to their respective cars, giving designers a way to make some cash and making each car unique to its designer. Additionally, each vehicle sold will come with all of the extra purchased parts in the trunk. To top things off and make every vehicle truly unique, each ride comes will all of the car's history. That includes the total distance it has driven, time spent on the road, total winnings, lifetime repair costs, number or races it took part in, number of previous owners, amongst other things.
The new update to the site promises more info soon, which can only mean good things. Check back soon for more Forza 2 news.
cool

If the creators of the game can get the aftermarket accessories and performance upgrades to be realistic than i think this game will be leagues ahead of GT HD.
For eg - if they rope in tuners like brabus, kleeman,sp racing, remus etc and the get the cars to actually reflect accurate performance increase, they will surely have a winner on their hands..
There will be car buffs buying the 360 only because of this game
