This is a thread I started at the Xbox forums. If this concerns you, please post a message in that thread so it brings it to MS's attention forums.xbox.com/13252248/ShowPost.aspx#13252248============================= October is fast approaching and for everyone who bought the console on launch, it will mean the end of their one year warranty Almost every Xbox 360 owner I know has had their console replaced at least once during this period. Xbox 360 customer support has been excellent and very efficient, but what happens now that our warranty is about to expire? Let's face it, the Xbox 360 isn't the most reliable piece of hardware. I've had my console replaced once and just yesterday, I got the ring of death on my replaced console. So what happens if my console gives up on me after the warranty expires? Will I have to spend an insane amount to ship my console to Australia and pay for the repairs over and above that? Is there going to be an option to purchase extended warranty or is there a customer service centre in the works within India? Another query I had is about accessories; If the power adapter on the Wireless Steering Wheel or HD-DVD add-on (assuming they are launched here in the near future) was to get spoiled, will I be able to buy just the power adapter or will I have to discard the whole thing. Or will there be the option of MS replacing/repairing it? Mohit, I am sure that many Xbox 360 owners will have similar concerns, so a response from you on these issues would be appreciated peace

change it before your warranty ends. they are most probably sending new 360's with bigger heatsinks to all.

u know, u'll get a lot more if u sell yr console in the last month of yr warranty....thts coz the buyer can still get it replaced 1 last time....
but when yr warranty is over, u'll get a much lower price....so if u really wanna sell it, then think abt the timing...

my suggestion....if nothing is wrong stick with it and be happy....u never know, with the kind of reliability issues it has, the replaced one might start giving u problems

i agree....if its working fine, then consider yrself lucky and hang on to yr console...!!
my older one used to freeze a lot on offline games....so i got it replaced and the new one seems to be making too many drive noises...also i get many disc unreadable errors....the disc is scratchless, but still errors..!!

may be it doesn't like being placed next to a PS3. So are you gonna send it for replacement again ??
