Hey guys i'm writing a piece on gaming in India and I need some vox pops so if yall could briefly in a acouple of lines just talk about your gaming history (how u started, what is your favourite platform and why)..that would help me out a lot and also it would be great if u could leave your name and location (optional) i would include it in the article. thanks

my first console was the atari 2600 but i wasn't really into it,i really got into gaming during the NES era,my elder sister and her husband were also into gaming during that time,it made a huge impact on me since there was a steady flow of games through them, back then it never really mattered which games i played,as long it was a side scroller i was satisfied,my favorite games of that era were Punch out,Legend of zelda and Metroid to name a few. after that i got the Snes in 1994 then the Saturn(1996)actually i wanted the N64 when it first came out but it was way too expensive during that time. From 1998-early 2003 i completely stopped gaming due to an operation i had and also a dip in interest. In late 2003 i bought the GC along with my sister's ps2 and haven't looked back ever since.
My favorite company still remains Nintendo because without their innovative nature we might not have seen the current form of the d=pad, the analog stick, rumble or even motion sensitive controllers and top it all of their games are most of the times great,GC and DS remain my favorite systems by a mile.
edit
oh and theres this thing about Nintendo that makes me feel differently then other companies, they feel personal and sometimes even like a family(nerdish i know)anywho hope this helps.

well, i started real early with an atari console...then i played on my friends sega for a while and finally settled with a super nintendo...then the pc craze hit me (since they had just started to gain popularity) and i became a pc gamin freak....played pc games until last year, when i finally went back to the consoles....i was skeptical abt this move since buying original stuff is not too easy.....but i can safely say tht it was worth every penny....
for me, i think consoles are wayy better than pc coz u get better gfx, sound, gameplay, etc....also, xbl has been a cool experience...really worthwhile....
