Reuters reports a study performed by German researchers that investigates whether playing racing games can promote risk taking in actual road traffic situations.
The researchers found that the frequency of playing racing games was positively associated with competitive driving, obtrusive driving, and car accidents; a negative association with cautious driving was also observed.
"Driving actions in these games often include competitive and reckless driving, speeding and crashing into other cars or pedestrians, or performing risky stunts with the vehicle. In short, most actions in racing games imply a very high risk of having an accident or severe crash in a highly realistic virtual road traffic environment," the researchers wrote.
Do you think that PGR or Forza have affected your driving at all? If so, did playing these video games get you into car accidents?

it only affects me to a point where if i'm driving i would think to myself "if i was playing burnout right now, i'd take this rickshawwalla out"...but i wouldnt even come close to really doing anything on the road that i would do in a game

lol...u're comparing to a different game....im sure u wont copy burnout...coz half the time u're hitting something....but in nfs, thts not the case....in nfs, u have to drive fast and also try not to hit too much stuff on the way.....thts perfect to copy on the streets...!!
