if gt-hd is anything to go by,then this one will be a stunner. btw - i might get in trouble for saying this but the gran turismo series is the only racing game in the world that can sell systems.not nfs, burnout, motorstorm.so much so that retailers have asked sony to ship gran turismo mobile for the psp asap

While 360 fans have been getting news of its top racers, Forza 2 and PGR 4, from all directions, Gran Turismo fans have been left in the dark, but Sony has finally broken the silence.
According to Sony's "semi-official" blog, threespeech.com, a new video will be made available through the PlayStation Network Store this Wednesday, which it says will feature a new car, the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Z, speeding around the Eldger Mountain course.
The same post also points eager petrol heads to the official GT HD site to look out for "future announcements". Sounds like a hint to us.
We've spoken to Sony UK and are expecting feedback in a short while.

"So far in the Gran Turismo series," explained Yamauchi, "we haven't had cars crash or overturn. We believed expressing this properly to be more difficult than actually making [the cars] race. In addition to properly replicating the underside of the car, when a collision occurs we'd have to have proper shape changes based on proper physical calculations. In Gran Turismo 5, we'd like to definitely add this element. We believe it will be a big theme." - Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi
^^ this is an old IGN interview (2004)....so is damage in or out?

i dunno, once they said that they will be sending free patches for gt-hd like damage modelling etc, which will act as a testing for the upcoming gt5.polyphony has so far neither confirmed nor denied.one of the leaked staff interviews said that damage is not there, again i dunno how credible the source was.
