i dont think its a gimmick,its one an important gameplay idea....being almost invisible,not knowin when the enemy will see u...eeeeee...the tension!!

oh tell me mate............. i know wht they did with the gamecube version though  (meryl is alive in ps1 game meyrl is dead in gamecube game viola she is back in mgs4 confusing isnt it  ) |

^^ dude metal gear solid on both psone and gamecube had 2 endings.
the good one being meryl saved and the bad one being she's dead.
my question was about the ending of metal gear solid 2 :sons of liberty,what was changed?
hint - the 9/11 twin tower attacks was the reason.(dont use google)

think that arsnel was supposed to crash into WTC's but was later changed
another thing that was edited was that after u kill solidus,the camera cuts to a flag pole and then towards solidus...originally a US flag was supposed to detach from the flag pole and fall on solidus..but in the final game it was cut!!
i hope im right!

no and yes
originally the arsenal gear was supposed to crash & destroy into the statue of liberty and then end up crashing into the federal hall.
after solidus dies a us flag was supposed to detach and fall over him(how filmy),also during the final speech snake gives raiden in the streets outside the federal hall,you can see various bldg's having empty flag poles,originally all of them were supposed to have the us flag.
the most ironic part about this is that a game about digital censorship ,got censored itself because of real world events.

In the torture scene after getting captured,dont give up.
If u pass the torture test meryl will be alive ,if u fail the then she will die.
Ps- both mgs2/3 dont have multiple endings

meryl is back wow, it was fun saving her though i had to take my friends help in alternate button mashing, and could somebody tell me that the snake featured in upcomin game is big boss or solid snake ( my ques could b lame but i need the answer) otacon is clearly shown in 1 of the screen shot and he is looking young so this snake has to b big boss or may b some kind of mutation occoured in solid snake that he aged very fast afterall he's a genetic clone of big boss. i may b dumb thinking all this crap...hehe, so plz clear my doubt.
and 1 more thing big boss was a gud guy, then why did he defected? this thing was told in mgs1 and i haven't played mgs: po on psp so i'm not sure abt the reason.
