one of the greatest game of all time might get a much wanted remake. Basically, it says that they were holding the official SE communique stating the announcement of a FFVII's remake for the PS3 exclusively. Original text: "LE CHOC! Translated: "THE SHOCK! At a few hours of looping, here are that fall between my hands an official official statement from SE indicating the "remake from very appreciated FF VII on Ps3, only". Whereas Sony was made bad blood with all these exclusivenesses which pass to him under the nose, veiled that an advertisement comes to flatter its catalogue. SE does not finish any surprising since, rappellons it, since the technological demo of FF VII for annopncer the arrival of the PS3, nothing had not filtered (...) a demonstration should be presented at next SquareEnix Party." This is coming from a a highly respectable magazine as the source. gamers-creed.blogspot.com/2007/05/rumore-final-fantasy-vii-remake-for-ps3.html

Considering the 20th anniversary of Square, Final Fantasy 1 and 2 remakes are coming out on PSP. All pre-PSX games have been re-made (apart from Mystic Quest and that does not deserve a second look). Going by the stats, Yes, its time for the first PSX FF to be re-made and we are all up for it.

i wd like nomura to work on this,he's currently one of the best young dev at S-E and whole of japan,he might give the game a very dark look.also unless they started work on this ,the game wont be out before 2009.

Nomura worked on the original FF VII and it was well done. However I would personally like to see more of Yoshitaka Amano. He's God. IMHO S-E has already started work on FF VII. They know that it's on the most wanted list of everyone, everywhere. And then there's always the tech demo which shows that they are aware of what the public wants. This is again speculation on my part.

Amano is a old warhorse only thing he'll end up doing is make the cover art for the game ,if they dont use the meteor type one.nomura shd direct this one as well.
this might never be true but i want ff8 to be remade ,a lot of ppl dont like the game ,because of the complex story, a ass-hole lead character and a confusing junction system.i personally want it.

But not everyone did get the point of an old school game when most games were going forward. But then, not everyone is a hardcore gamer either. Old school rocks.

dont get me wrong the story and settings was good , but it just felt a bit ... u wont believe it but ff9 was my fav ff game during the psone era ,but the game simply dosent have the holding power compared to 7. i recently played 9 again on my psp and played till zidane and co reach lindblum ,but then i finally gave up.

Rumors have been buzzing around the internet that Square Enix just can't squash. Tetsuya Nomura has come forth in yet another attempt to end the rumor once and for all. Nomura announced that even though he does still have a copy of the original script for Final Fantasy VII, and that the whole Final Fantasy XIII team are willing to do it, there are currently no plans for a Final Fantasy VII remake. He went on to say:, "We of course know ourselves what the fans want so we'd like to continue thinking up a variety of things. As long as there are people who want to make it and people who are waiting for it, we don't want to proclaim 'the end'." www.psu.com/node/11549
