According to a Korean PLAYSTATION 3 website, a new 80GB HDD SKU is being released on June 16, 2007. The new SKU will be released without the Emotion Engine, which is used to help emulate PS2 and PS1 games. The new SKU will be sold for 518,000 Won, which is about $573 US with tax. No information on whether or not the SKU is going to be released elsewhere. ^^ Even that doesnt make much sense right?  i mean..they should've waited, made some more upgardes and released it as a variant....replacing the 60GB model with the 80GB, at the same price point will only piss off early adopters of the PS3 IMO...

why shd it piss off,20gb hard disk space is no big deal,that too when u can easily replace your HDD with a standard 2.5 one.chances are if u find 60 gb small then ull find 80 gb small too.
either that or they are going to replace the 20gb model with the 60gb one and the 60gb one with the 80 gb one.

Dude 20GB is what ive been livin with for the past 15 months! (360)  either that or they are going to replace the 20gb model with the 60gb one and the 60gb one with the 80 gb one. that would make more sense...no ones byuing the 20GB version anyway...

Since the 20GB was discontinued by Sony a much bigger HDD would be nice,like a 100 or 120GB

What's the point? They should release it with a 120 GB HDD minimum...just 20 GB more is pointless
