According to a report in the Mainichi Daily News, Tekken 6 will be the first game to utilize PS3’s Cell-based arcade board. Namco Bandai Games has gotten into a full-fledged agreement with Sony to build arcade devices that use the Cell processor Namco has previously used PlayStation derived hardware for their games like Soul Caliber, Time Crisis and Tekken. Sony would be glad, as to some extent, Tekken 6 will be a exclusive title for the PS3. A few weeks ago, we had reported that there is a chance that Tekken 6 might come to the Xbox 360 and just recently, they lost exclusivity of Devil May Cry 4 to the Xbox 360 and the PC. Tekken 6 is expected to release for the PS3 later in 2007. Many PS3 gamers are waiting desperately for the release of Tekken 6, since Virtua Fighter 5 is the only decent fighting game available for the PlayStation 3. www.gameguru.in/fighting/2007/27/tekken-6-will-be-the-first-game-to-use-ps3s-cell-based-arcade-board/
