First review: 4/5 If there’s any criticism here it’s that Stranglehold’s combat is relentless and ferociously intense, making the game a stressful experience that will alienate players who want a little more brain stimulation and variety from their virtual escapades. But for kill-crazy gamers who get their kicks from pumping the trigger, Stranglehold is an irresistible, digit-blistering thrill ride. www.empireonline.com/reviews/reviewcomplete.asp?GID=429peace

LMAO.. KC u were right 360 version comes out 27th PS3 version delayed by a month Sep 17th Two years and three Electronic Entertainment Expos ago, Midway announced Stranglehold, a pseudo-sequel to the 1992 action film Hard-Boiled made in cooperation with the film's director John Woo and star Chow Yun-Fat. Previously set to be on shelves by "fall or holiday" of 2006, Midway pushed the title back to the first quarter of 2007. Having missed that release window, Midway said it would have the game out by August. The long wait appears to be nearing an end, as a Midway representative today nailed down exact release dates for GameSpot. The Xbox 360 and PC editions of Stranglehold will apparently keep to Midway's most recently stated timeframe, arriving August 27. However, the PlayStation 3 version of the game is now set for September 17.The Xbox 360 and PS3 editions of Stranglehold will also have limited-edition packages selling for $10 more than the suggested $59.99 of the regular versions. For PS3 consumers, the extra dough buys a copy of Hard-Boiled included on the Blu-ray disc. The Xbox 360 premium package includes a behind-the-scenes documentary on the game, as well as looks at the concept art and sound design of the game. www.gamespot.com/news/6175761.html?part=rss&tag=gs_news&subj=6175761

forum moderators arent employees...theyre in touch with the company's PR people and PR will only tell them what they want to....like i said, he doesnt even know that PC games are never region coded so it is possible that he could be wrong about the PS3 version being region-coded.....maybe he was told hard boiled would be region-coded and he thought the game would be as well
