^^ I know. but some are quite decent... besides this game is done by Treyarch (sp?) and their previous Spider-Man games were pretty good, including the really cool Ultimate Spider-Man.

he he........completely true sam........movie-based games r alwayz broken:-
here r a few names to stir unpleasent memories:-
1. bad boys 2 2. superman returns 3. 24 the game 4. miami vice 5. pirates of the carribean: legend of jack slate 6. enter the matrix 7. matrix: path of neo 8. X-Men official game 9. stolen 10. desperados 2: cooper's revenge 11. fantastic four
apart from these uggh games, there was one which wasn't heavily publicised, highly underrated.............lemony snickets a series of unfortunate events.................it was cute fun.........gud story adaptation from da movie as well...........jim carrey's game counterpart was wicked!!!

That main reason to buy this game would be the opportunity to swing freestyle thru New York on your HDTV trying our your favourite Spidey moves, reviews be damned. If you want a really cool super hero simulator, this is the one to get. Superman Returns sucked as a true simulator because you really cudnt fly very fast and superman is basically lame.

Yes, I've read plenty of user feedback on this game by now and it seems IGN and Gamespot were a little unfair with their reviews.
Besides this is not just a simple movie tie-in game released just to cash in on a movie's success (like the Harry Potter or POTC games). It's done by a developer who keeps getting better at making Spider-Man games. You can see this game is huge and has tons of different things to to (unlike Superman Returns), it's a fully featured Spider-Man game. It's got 10 villians and different storylines to beat. along with plenty of side missions. What else could you ask for?
Sure framerates do go down in most sandbox games and boss battles are meant to be difficult. Also the button mashing sequences are not so bad... after all, no one complained about them in God Of War and Resident Evil 4...
I'm sure Spider-Man 3 will be a decent game, if not one of the best. I'm definitely picking it up.

Yeah, I think I'll get it...
BTW, if you didn't know there's a shop called Music Bank on MG Road (in the building next to Marz-o-rin). They rent out 360/PS3 games and also buy old games back for half the price. They let you rent 2 titles for a month for about 2K as far as I remember. I think it's not worth it and they don't have that many titles either. Pretty much the ones which are available in stores.
