Don't be dissing Grant Road... I stay there, but on the West side, NOT on the East which is where all the naughty stuff happens. [ebonics]dont even trip homie...we all know the west side is the best side[/ebonics] peace

I was typing this in the Saints Row thread but I guess it would be more approriate here.
My own little wishlist for GTA IV -
1. Less (or no) mandatory flying missions. It's Grand Theft Auto for heaven's sake! 2. Sturdier cars. The cars in SA were as if they were made of cardboard... 3. A big improvement in graphics. 4. More customization options. 5. GPS in cars (if it's set in modern times) 6. Better gun sounds. Face it, the sound in SA were lame... 7. Less swearing. It's weird when you keep hearing F-bombs all the time with your family around. 8. Ability to restart a mission if you die. It's frustrating to drive all the way to a mission marker. Then drive to another location and get shot by someone you didn't see...
I guess that's pretty much it! Remember, its my wishlist... not everyone has to agree with it!

Yeah but it's not fun when you have to fly through hoops suspended in mid-air...

@ Tyler
I think you will have a better looking GTA this time since Rockstar has licensed the Euphoria engine (the same one being used for the next gen Indie game). And as far as less flying missions go I would even sign a petition for that cos I hated the ones in Vice City and San Andreas.

^^ Glad you understand the problem with flying missions!
Yeah I know about the Euphoria engine, but I always thought it was more focussed on the AI and behaviors of characters, physics etc...

I think Euphoria engine is more for the behavior of character models which allow real time simulation of the human body ! Flying missions were good, the only problem was w.r.t controls....I think they would be extremely easier if u use a gamepad....but I hated the RC missions in VC, i just hope they are not continued here !

Flying ,missions really sucked in Gta:SA. They were the reason due to which i was not able to complete my single player. My only wish is to remove these flying missions. Better graphics and AI is a given considering that it is going to be the first next gen GTA game.

i loved the flying missions.....and i loved tht u can fly a plane and get to anywhere real quick...instead of negotiating heavy traffic...
i do agree with having able to restart missions....
among all the points tht tyler listed...i would just disagree with 1 and 7.....i mean if less swearing, then no fun...plus, thts how gangstas are....lots of bad boy stuff...
imagine this - u hijacking a car and saying "can you pls give me your vehicle maam"...!! no fun man..!!

Well, Vice City was inspired by Scarface (the movie that holds the record for the maximum usage of the F-bomb) but it still pulled it off without any swearing! I agree that the SoCal gangsta vibe in SA needed all the swearing but I still feel it was a bit excessive... I don't mind swearing in games and movies but it just feels awkward when someone is shouting "Motherf****r! Motherf****r!!" and your mom walks in...

swearing shd be limited , if anyone has played the mgs series you will notice despite the mature story and mad characters ,the game hardly ever used the F-bomb ,the game is all about the N-bomb.

It all depends on the setting, if its set in a ghettos like GTA SA, you cant expect them to speak civil - thats what R* does at its best, capture the essence of the environment ! BTW, just thought I'll post - "I aint goin to no school to study no accounting" - by CJ is one of my fav lines in the game ;D
