well i put i to to download last night at 12 and when i got up at 7 it was all done ;D.. well i had leave home at 7:30 so could play it for 15 mins. Must say the graphics are the best i have seen in a free roaming game.. u initially start in ur garage where u can choose the car u want. i chose the SUV which looks awesome.. after which u have to go and free a weapons factory so it can supply you weapons thats where i stopped.. the moves are awesome.. its a true superhero game and i am sure as u build up ur rep ur character will get awesome moves. the in game text is totally borrowed from saints row.. but awesome thing i found is that shooting and acceleration is done using the trigger button which is awesome unlike saints row... more after the break

a lot of people are saying the comic book style is a little corny but the gameplay gets better as u level up...i'm not gonna download it....maybe i'll wait for a few reviews and see what its like
PS: sanjoy, u shouldve posted this in the existing crackdown thread instead of making a new one

unlike sanjoy i had fun with the game,u can play it two ways, either follow the quest or do your own stuff.honestly the quest mode plays more like an action shooter rather than a gta type game, there lots of shooting to do and the shooting mechanics are good too.
here is the fun part forget the quest and do your thing since the demo is limited to an hour dont waste time.the most fun thing is surely the leaping ,its also seamlessly integrated and doesn't feel cheap once.initially the jumps are small but once you start collecting a few orbs the jumps starting growing bigger and bigger, once you reach the 2 star level your jumps will be good enuff to scale most small bldgs, around the 5 and 6 star the whole city starts to open up and jumping from bldg to bldg is an awesome experience, and you'll wish you had more time.
the driving is the weakest part in the sense that it is completely overshadowed by the jumping ,still the driving parts controls well only if its a bit unresponsive.
the co-op mode i played had problems either it was the code or my net had problems(i was playing with a friend from Delhi),its was laggy and totally unresponsive ,hopefully that ill change by the time of full release. will post more info once i play it more

I highly enjoyed the Crackdown demo , every aspect of it (didnt play online) , the only thing I have "Against" it is the fact that u cant go anywhere besides the rooftops and the street. I mean its next gen they could added some interiors like banks and stuff where u can go in ( dont mind if the environments in there a repetitve) it just would be cool

The demo of Crackdown from RealTime Worlds just made quite an explosion in the Xbox Live Marketplace this week. Released just a couple of days back (January 23), it's already bumped out Fight Night and Lost Planet from the charts. All this, even without the beta of Halo 3 under its belt.
The demo was only available for Gold members, but that didn't stop it from making a record in Microsoft history. They just confirmed with IGN that the playable demo was the most downloaded demo for a 24-hour period and the most downloaded demo during a seven-day period.
Making records, yeah? Given the figures, maybe the number of copies sold could also follow suit. Despite a lot of commenters saying that Crackdown would be able to boost its sales because of the Halo 3 demo included, the number of downloads can actually speak for itself. However, the only way for us to find that out is to wait for its release this coming February
