gamespy's report on why assassin's creed is one of the most awaited games of 2007 ;D Assassin's Creed (X360, PS3, PC)
WANTED FOR: Subversive behavior; murder; conspiracy to commit murder; violating numerous archaic medieval laws; dropping jaws.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: The only game coming out that lets you take on the role of a stealthy Moorish assassin during the Crusades.
KNOWN ACCOMPLICES: None. That's how it rolls.
Sony's loss of exclusivity on Ubisoft Montreal's stealth action title was one of 2006's worst kept secrets. If anything, it's good for gamers everywhere, as the buzz is probably higher on this game than virtually any other title that popped up in the PS3's launch line-up. While Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell, who has a voiceover role in the game, spilled the beans about a few elements of the game's mysterious plot - something we probably shouldn't divulge ourselves, we know that players will take on the role of Altaïr (Arabic for "The Flyer"), a Moorish assassin sent out by a secretive agency to take down the top masterminds behind the Crusades.
Along the way, Altaïr will climb buildings, utilize special abilities and fluidly assimilate into crowds in order to pull off the job. It goes without saying that he's above and beyond what stealth gamers have seen from any of Agent 47's endeavors. His ability to move around the walls of homes and official buildings finds most of its inspiration in the school of Parkour and the craft's emphasis on quickly improvised leaps and bounds. His special abilities will enable him to single out a target before going in for the kill. Also, there will be situations in which he will be able to blend into a crowd, such as the famed "walking with the monks" scenario that has been described in preview coverage.
Equally important, however, is the way that the Ubisoft team, also responsible for the Prince of Persia games, has implemented exceptional A.I. into NPCs. People on the street will react and respond to Altaïr based on his behavior. If he pushes, shoves, and behaves rudely while en route to his assignment, the townspeople will respond in kind. After his hits, law-abiding citizens will try to play hero and stop him from advancing so that guards can capture him. It will be exceptionally interesting to see how the crowd dynamics come into play.
There were few console titles at E3 '06, aside from perhaps Gears of War and BioShock, that left a more indelible impression on our editorial staff than this one. Suffice it to say, we're really looking forward to it.next-----forza 2 ;D

here's forza 2 for the only forza fan in 360i Forza Motorsport 2 (X360)
WANTED FOR: Speeding; Reckless driving; Hit & Run.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Highly-customizable cars; Ultra-detailed car models; Advanced physics engine.
KNOWN ACCOMPLICES: Forza Motorsport
Realism in games is often a double-edged sword. On one hand it can provide a challenging and believable experience that a gamer can be immersed in, but on the other hand it can alienate other gamers who prefer a simpler game. There is no doubt that Forza Motorsport for the Xbox was targeted towards gamers who prefer titles like Gran Turismo to Ridge Racer, but the game also featured a very handy tutorial mode that did a fantastic job of helping gamers transition from arcade racing to sim racing. The fact that the game was gorgeous and had tons of customization options, and fantastic online racing helped it to earn a place in the hearts of many racing fans.
This year Forza will get its first sequel, Forza Motorsport 2, and Microsoft is shooting for the stars. The added power of the Xbox 360 platform means that the game will look amazing, thanks to a steady 60fps frame rate, HDR lighting, and bump-mapping. Forza 2 will also include 300 cars and 70 tracks. The customization options from the first game are back and heftier than ever. Forza let you apply up to 600 layers of decals onto your car, in Forza 2 you'll get 4,000. We're not sure if we'll actually need that many layers, but it's an impressive number. Microsoft also promises a more detailed and robust damage modeling system. Take enough hits in the right places and pieces of your car will come off and litter the track, making an already challenging raceway go from tough to downright dangerous.
Owners of the original game loved showing off photos of their cars, and in Forza 2 it'll be even easier to do this. A new photo mode will let you take pictures of your cars from all angles both when it's on the track and when it's in the car editor mode. Robust Xbox Live support and the return of the driving assists that made the first game so newbie-friendly are all a back and improved as well. With all these offerings it was an easy choice to add Forza 2 to our most-wanted list.

GrandTheft Auto IV (X360, PS3)
WANTED FOR: Homicide; vehicular homicide; manslaughter; vehicular manslaughter; attempted homicide; civil unrest; blackmail; extortion; carjacking; arson; impersonating a police officer; driving a taxicab without a license; possession of a concealed weapon; aggravated assault; aggravated assault on a law enforcement official; theft of police property; solicitation; spilling hot coffee on any and every individual. (continues...)
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: As usual, the only thing we know is that it's got the same font as the other games, and Table Tennis was a test-run of its graphics engine. Oh, and it will have new ways to piss off cultural critics.
KNOWN ACCOMPLICES: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
From the jailhouse tat on Peter Moore's arm at E3 to the episodic content promised over Xbox Live, we expect everyone to want Rockstar to spill the beans, and for Rockstar to reveal little, which will lead to insane rumors and speculation on par with rumors such as Tupac showing up in San Andreas. Yes, someone on staff heard that one three years ago. As usual, the details are slim and stingy on this one. No one knows if it will return to Liberty City, although Internet speculation has ranged wildly from that theory to being across the country to even being in Europe. But it's all speculation.
It's unknown if our mute antihero, Claude (we think that's his name, but we're not keeping tabs) will be returning to wreak havoc and mayhem for anyone who flashes the most cash for hire, but we're sure that we'll know more as time comes.
What we do know is what most people can assume that it will look fairly good. With a new platform comes new visuals, and while the GTA games have traditionally been about functionality more than visual quality, a glimpse at what Rockstar could render with Table Tennis gives us some hope. That is, if the characters can look that good in a bigger environment than a dimly lit arena.
Also, we know that Xbox 360 won't be the only system with episodic content. Rockstar has also guaranteed that Sony will have its own downloads over the PlayStation Network. Even if exclusive games will go the way of the last generation thanks to inflated budgets, GTA IV could set the standard for console-specific content for each system. No matter what, everyone's waiting for October 17th (if it doesn't get pushed up a week or two, which seems to happen with every GTA) to see if Rockstar can keep the momentum going in this new generation of consoles.

and here's the crowd(excluding the forza fan ) favourite---------burnout 5 Burnout 5 (PS3, X360)
WANTED FOR: Leaving the scene of an accident; hit and run; attempted vehicular homicide; reckless endangerment; speeding violations.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Takedowns, crashes, ensuing profanity, vast urban environment to cause mayhem.
KNOWN ACCOMPLICES: Burnout 2: Point of Impact, Burnout 3: Takedown, Burnout Revenge
Burnout has escaped from the PS2 and Xbox onto the new consoles, although Burnout Dominator should be a nice finale for PS2 owners. In past games, players were set on a whirlwind tour of different locales, including mock-up versions of LA, Detroit, Rome, Tokyo, and the Alps. This time, the action has now moved to open-ended anarchy where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. Rather than focusing on different maps and locales, the action will all be contained within one free-roaming area, Paradise City.
Visually, we've only gotten a few sneak peeks up to this point, but from what we can see, the graphics have been completely ramped up. We weren't complaining about the amazing gloss coat that Burnout Revenge got last year, but we're excited to discover how a completely revamped Burnout will turn out. Also, given the strength of the series on PlayStation, we'd like to see if Criterion can give the PS3 version an extra shot in the arm.
One can only imagine the insane possibilities that the UK development team will conjure up. Every traffic jam is a chance to incite a massive crash. Every alleyway offers the chance for some vicious takedowns. It sounds a bit like the elements that made Need for Speed: Most Wanted such a popular title, in regard to the open-ended urban structure, but given the gaming public's love for generating the biggest traffic accidents humanly possible, there's a good chance that Burnout 5 (we're still not sure if that's the final title or not) will go above and beyond sandbox gameplay to turn transportation vessels into scrap metal.
