Halo 3 is shaping up to be the most talked about game nowadays thanks to all the talks about release date speculations and the beta invites. Taking advantage of this scenario is Best Buy who recently came up with a sweet enough offer that would entice any gamer, especially the really hardcore ones. Here's how the deal goes, if you buy Halo 3 in Best Buy's online store (which would cost you roughly 60 or 70 bucks), you'll be able to buy 1,600 MS points for just five greenbacks. 1,600 MS points is equivalent to US$ 20, so you'll be saving roughly US$ 15. So if you have some spare cash lying around somewhere and you don't need it for anything, this offer might just tickle your fancy. Anyhow, if you're interested, the read link below will take you to the Best Buy site so as you could check the deal out for yourself. www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat106600050043&type=category

gamerevolution.com/news/view.php?id=2244Halo 3: new "A-hole button" mutes annoying opponents In his latest Bungie Weekly Update, content manager Frank O'Connor blogged about a few things to whet the appetites of Halo fans across the globe. First, he mentioned that Jen Taylor, Cortana's voice actress, has been in the studio to record her dialogue for Halo 3, which has been reported to be "considerably darker and more terrifying than in prior appearances."
"There's a lot more drama and a lot less technical jargon this time around," Taylor stated. "I actually just finished a couple of lines that nearly had me in tears. For an actor, more drama is always good."
Elsewhere in the "armory", new work has been completed for a weapon that would be new to the Halo series. The weapon's previous placeholder graphic, that of a bent green box, has just recently been replaced with the genuine article. Although he wouldn't go into specifics about the weapon itself, Frankie stated that it would be "unlike any other Halo weapon ever, both in aesthetic influence and a couple of other ways I can't go into yet." He also added that it looks "scary and powerful", and assuredly much more threatening than the sight of a bent green box.
As for old weapons, fans may also be pleased to hear that the rocket launcher has undergone a few graphical touches, including "a fiery blowback from the exhaust port, and an accompanying Spartan animation that you'll enjoy watching (or not) in Multiplayer games."
And lastly, Bungie is also making steps to enhance its multiplayer user interface, including a new "A-Hole Button", as some developers have lovingly described it. As gamers should already know, most online communities offer an unfettered freedom of speech that grants any immature player with a bad case of potty mouth the right to say anything he/she wants, but with the new "A-Hole" button, you're also granted the right to not have to listen. Press the button (designated as the back button, so far), highlight a user's name with the right stick, and then mute them until you see fit. For all you know, they might still be trash-talking and crying to their mom about chocolate milk, but you won't have to hear a single word.
Halo 3 seriously can't come soon enough.

Halo 3 Legendary Edition Revealed Microsoft has finally unveiled some images, demonstrating exactly what the $100 Legendary Edition of Halo 3 will look like on release - and it's rather impressive. Although it would have to be for $100, really. This four-disc special-edition of Halo 3 comes complete with a replica MJOLNIR Mark VI helmet. At first we thought it would be life-size and that we'd be able to wear it round the house, but then we realised it was only 10" and, as such, probably wouldn't even fit a baby. Very disappointing. nside the helmet is a stand to hold the game disc, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Halo 3, a high resolution collection of all the cinematics from Halo 1 and 2 and a disc with machinima features based on the Halo universe. The Legendary Edition is set for release alongside the Collector's Edition and standard version when Halo 3 emerges later this year. i am defn goin in for this provided Mohit released it here

halo is a good game till the flood comes out after that it gets boring and very very repetitive ...especially that level with the Monitor, it seemed like it would never end! BTW, the Collector's Edition looks sweet, but I think I'll go for the standard... I'm not that big of a Halo fan...

As for me, I hope they don't show his face... most badass characters with their faces covered are cool because they never show their face! Look at V For Vendetta, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Deadpool...

I'm not that big of a Halo fan... after the library the remaining game is backtracking and apart from the buggy chase in the end the game is pretty average.

@kc, yes the ending chase was one of the best game endings ever! I have to give Halo that... loved the music too! My general opinion of Halo is the same as FarCry. The game really shines when you have a large open area with different strategies to try but it fails when it comes to your generic FPS indoor "corridor crawl" levels (leave that to ID Software ). However, besides UT2K4 Halo still has the best use of vehicles in an FPS...
