since all games in the topic wont have been released lets give the pro's and cons of some supposed killer app titles for 2007. since assasins creed is on hot topic now starting with it. ASSASINS CREED at first glance you might take it as the next gen prince of persia ,but watch closely and this is a different game alltogether.a medieval game witha a sci-fi twist. PROS
+ Ubisoft first new IP since brothers in arms + great graphics ,with some of the best animations ever. + gameplay is looking and playing truly next-gen. + JADE RAYMOND + Deep looking storyline but..........
CONS - .....the SCI-FI twist might hurt it. - Some textures need work. - coming in Q2 2007

Q2 2007 is the earliest. It could be later than that. Here's quote from news sites
Of greater importance to gamers, however, is that Ubisoft has made some adjustments to its product release schedule, which have resulted in the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed being pushed back somewhat. In order to capitalize on GRAW's success (more than 2.4 millions copies sold), Ubisoft said that it will launch Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 during its fourth fiscal quarter. "This launch will take the place of Assassin's Creed and Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway, which will now strengthen fiscal year 2007-08," the company explained. That would mean the earliest we could see Assassin's Creed would be April 2007. The game had originally been slated for a March 2007 release.
I'm already starting to hate GRAW2...

basically my idea is put one game per day and then discuss the hell out of it.

the sci-fi twist will give extra depth to the storyline of ac imo. i don't think it will hurt the game.
i am sure the textures will be polished by the time it releases.

stirring up the hornet's nest!, GRAND THEFT AUTO4
rockstar has 3 options for this game 1) make it a bigger and better gta than the previous one. 2) make it more mature and darker ala the godfather and getaway 3) change the formula completely and make god knows what. i personally want rock* to stick to formula no 1,since gta would be gta without its c0cky humour, cheesy dialouges, shady characters etc. i also think the new type of vehicle(if u can call it), will be skateboards and roller blades, not only will it make the whole city a tony hawk game, but it will make moving from one place to another quicker too(since we,r all bored by driving those slow cars that u get at the start of the game).

i'd like to see a revamp of the reputation system -- people on the streets should shudder at the sight of a (in)famous bhai V

i'd like to see splitscreen co-op like the way it's being done in crackdown. i also want the ability to kidnap people for a ransom. just think about it. you get down from a speeding car in front of an elementary school, grab a kid and then return to your safehouse and then negotiate with his parents. that would be awsome imo.
p.s. have any of you guys ever seen a kid in the gta games??

i'd also want to see a mission structure which is more like oblivion. there should be guilds(in this case, gangs) like robbers, assassins etc. you should also be able to take missions from random civilians just like in oblivion.

A.C. will most likely be region free -- so importers like digimart will have it within 10 days of its Asian release (which is concurrent or earlier than the US release) OR you could order it from ebay.com/uk or HK etailers like playasia/yesasia.
As for GTA, well table tennis was published by take2 (developed by a rockstar satellite studio) so it might be RF as well.
