Italy hard man Materazzi holds a grudge against the Brazil midfielder for criticising team-mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira when they left Emerson's former club Juventus for the Giuseppe Meazza.
"I do not want him [Emerson]," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "He offended Ibra and Vieira because they left for Inter.
"Now he offers himself to us. It does not appeal to me&hellip I prefer that he rejoins Juventus."
Brazil striker Adriano, known as 'Il Imperatore', suffered problems with alcohol last year following a split with his girlfriend, resulting in him taking an extended break in Brazil mid-season and becoming embroiled in nightclub incidents.
"[Adriano] has admitted in public the mistakes he has made," Materazzi opined. "He has seen the light at the end of the tunnel; with his confession he has put himself in a position to be helped. In the past that did not happen.
"I am convinced that Adriano will return to become the Emperor of beautiful times. With him we will pose maximum problems for opposing defences."

Senderos for Juventus
Juventus will reportedly launch a £3million bid for Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos once Giorgio Chiellini joins Manchester City. The Switzerland international made just 14 Premier League appearances last season after struggling with injury and has dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.
William Gallas and Kolo Toure are expected to be Arsene Wenger's first choice central defenders for the forthcoming campaign, so the Gunners are unlikely to block Senderos' move.
New Juve boss Claudio Ranieri is a big fan of the 22-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror, but he will not make his move until City wrap up the signing of Chiellini.
The 22-year-old is thought to be on his way to Eastlands for £6.7million.

Kaka slams door on Real
AC Milan playmaker Kaka has ended speculation over his future by declaring the "door is closed" on a move to Real Madrid, even though he has admitted to meeting with the Spanish champions.
The Brazil ace has reportedly been the target of a world-record bid from Madrid, but insists he sees his future with the Champions League winners.
"I have never asked to leave, terminate my contract or have any get-out clauses at Milan," he said.
"I see myself being a symbol of a great squad and I hope that this can be Milan."

Real to release Cassano?
Hot-headed Italy striker Antonio Cassano has not been included in Real Madrid's squad for pre-season training in Austria.Cassano, who has fallen out with nearly every coach he has worked with, was persona non grata under Fabio Capello's regime last season.
Bernd Schuster has since replaced Capello at the helm but it appears as if the Italian hot-shot is still surplus to requirements.
Asked why Cassano was not travelling to Austria, Real captain Raul said: "You have to ask the sporting bosses.
"He has not come to training and we don't know much more. He is not on the list and will not travel."
