Well, there are many many positions in game developement. It depends in what interests you.
1. Programmer: Well, IMO, by far the most important position. You need to know C/C++, a few scripting languages, and the assembly language for that particular platform to write your own graphic routines etc. Even here, there are many kinds of programmers. There are Physics Programmers, Graphic Engine Programmers, AI Programmers, UI Programmers, Network Programmers, Sound Programmers, Tool Development etc etc. The first 2 are highly mathematical, so if your not good in maths, you better forget them.
2. Graphic Designers: This is the one I recommend to anyone, who is good at drawing. You need to learn Photoshop and 3d Modelling tools such as Maya or 3ds Max. But, I would advise anyone who wants to go into this field to first master fine arts, and then move onto digital art. There are many courses available here.
3. Designers: Again, there are many kinds of designers like Level Designers, Story Designers, Character Designers. You can't really learn Game Design IMO, it just comes by itself, though experience does help.
4. Sound Producers: This is something you can go into, if you are into music composing etc. These are the guys that make all the sound effects, that add to the atmosphere of the game.
5. Game Testers: If you are a hardcore gamer, this could be just right for you. But let me tell you, this isn't as fun as it sounds. You will be playing game in their beta stages, and would have to play the games for hours, trying to find faults.
There are other jobs as well, such as Marketing/Advertising, Video Game Journalism etc. It really depends on what you are interested in.
If you do say that you are good in drawing, then I would advise you to take a Professional 3d Animation Course in Arena Multimedia, or MAAC. This could really help you. If you are interested in studying abroad this might help you
