Gamer.tv or Gamer TV is a long-running weekly television show for video gamers. Each half-hour episode mixes topical video game news, reviews, previews and features. The series airs on a number of networks around the world including Bravo in the UK and Starz Edge in North America. It's also currently shown in Canada, South America, Spain, India and New Zealand. Gamer TV video segments appear on a number of websites too, including MSN.

Gamer TV is owned by IMG.

History
The first episode aired December 2002. In October 2005, the UK edition briefly changed name to "Gamer TV: Next Gen" for 12 episodes that featured host Sam Delaney on screen. In January 2006, Gamer TV reverted back to its traditional name and Sam Delaney's narration. In October 2006 the series celebrated its 200th episode.

Since May 2006 it's aired in the United States on Starz Edge narrated by Christian Stevenson, with occasional segments from the UK program.

In the UK, it has spawned a spin off, also aired on Bravo, called "Gamer's Guide To..." and then a different subtitle each week, such as 360 or Wii, which showcases all the reviews from previous Gamer TV shows in a compilation of must own video games.

Though quite popular in the UK there has always been somewhat of a consensus amongst viewers that the show had a somewhat biased view, especially against Nintendo. This now seems to have grown to include the Xbox 360, with the presenter sometimes outright mocking the Wii and Xbox 360 in favour of the PS3. However, mentions of the Sony playing comical bad guys by 'stealing' both Microsoft and Nintendo's ideas do pop up just as much.

Trivia
Gamer TV is currently banned in China.
The show is executive produced by Richard Wilcox who wrote Blue Thunder & Airwolf for the Spectrum.
UK host Sam Delaney is a former young journalist of the year winner and a West Ham fan.
The series previously appeared on the American television network GSN under their GSN Video Games block, paired with another Gamer.tv program, Game Sauce; and G4.Segments from this program were also included in Nickelodeon Games and Sports.
