well i checked out the electronic shop yesday....again....and they have slashed the prices of samsung tvs....i took my 360 along with GOW to test out which one looked good....tested out sony KLV=40v200A, sony KLV=40s200A and Samsung LA40N71B...
somehow GOW was not looking good on the sony tv...i dunno why...i mean i heard from alot of ppl sony is the best n stuff...but dunno wat was wrong...maybe the sales man did not put the wires properly or the tv display settings were not proper....audio quality was good on sony... samsung on the other hand was neomosel....game looked good on it...but when i increased the volume....sound used to just tear apart.... hoping any of u guys might or can help me out in deciding which one to take....
tried searchin for philips...but that guy dint have the ambilight one tv.....

sony is the best man....im sure the tv settings were not adjusted properly....sony tvs usually have a little lower gamma than the others....but their picture quality is finer.....i have a sony tv as well....i had to increase the brightness to almost 75% to make GOW and other games look good....
if only gamma is a problem, then dont worry, if u adjust it properly, then sony tvs will give u the desired brightness.....

Im on the search for a good 32 inch LCD tv, and i am having a real hard time deciding.
Initially thought i would buy the Samsung Bordeaux 32, but after reading reviews on the net, decided against it as it doesnt have an adjustable backlight.
Now I cant really decide between the Sony S2000A and the V2000A 32 inch tvs.
Does anybody know if the V series is worth the extra 15k??
My problem is that apart from the HD content, i would be using this TV for a lot of SD gaming also . And I am quite concerned about the quality of SD content on LCDs.
Read reviews of the philips LCDs and they SD apparantly looks really good on them. But philips prices are ridiculously high. The philips ambilight is being sold for 1,05,000. Also i am unable to find a comprehensive review of this anywhere. Does this have an adjustable backlight??
I notice Sanjoy mentioned he had got his philips for 80k. Was this on exchange? OR can it be actually bargained down by that much?

sanjoy-no phillips LCD tv in existence right now supports 1080p Their 37 inch supports 1080i There are sharp 32,37 inchers which support 1080p in USA but not in India In india the cheapest TV which supports 1080p is the samung FHD Mosel 40 icnh which costs a min of Rs 1,50,000 I'll be buying the much cheaper Bordeaux(around Rs.90k)

^^
Okay, after doing quite a bit of research around the net and local stores I think the 40" Samsung Bordeaux seems to be the best option for me too. I'm getting it for around 95K. 32" is available for about 58K. But I feel like going for the 40" since my living room is quite large and besides gaming it will be awesome to watch movies on it. Now I know that the Neo Mosel and FHD Mosel are a lot better, but they're totally out of my budget. Also checked other brands, but overall Samsung seems to be better and has good after sales service.
So do you guys think I should finalize it?
