Today a Killzone PS3 beta was completely confirmed from a Guerrilla employee. Seb "MotherH" Downie of Guerrilla Games posted this on the official Killzone forums. "Of course there is going to be a public beta, I have always said that any game that has an online mode needs to go through a public beta to ensure it works as intended. More on a beta later this year." With all the beta excitement over Home, Killzone feels like a second Christmas present. Whats for Hanukah - WarHawk? All you Killzone maniacs who will live or die defending the first title should be looking forward to this July when Killzone PS3 will be completely unveiled at the upcoming E3. Perhaps the beta will coincide with this unveiling? One can only hope. www.psu.com/node/11015

I am definitely expecting great stuff from Killzone 2. Secondly, Metal Gear 1 for NES was not a super-flop game. It was a hit game from Konami. Loved that game like most people who played that game. I have personally played that game and read as many reviews as i can can to know that MG 1 was a hit.

MG for the nes was only a critical hit commercially both games failed, simply because stealth games were alien territory at that time

Metal Gear 1 was hardly a stealth based game. The reason being is that stealth could not be incorporated into the game due to technical limitations in those days.
Agreed, Metal Gear 2 for NES was a flop due to poor porting done by the developer. The japanese and the American versions differed by lot in translation and buggy gameplay.

Its only 20mill us$ Shenmue and ff7 both went over the 40 mill us$ dude according to your quote even this game is around $ 40 m .but besides that i do think this will be a very impressive as they are taking their time. that's so important, i mean you have to put in a substantial amount of hard work and time so that the content of the game is quality. they could have probably launched this title alongwith other games such as motorstorm whose development cycle started at the same time.
