As regards India, Anand confirmed that there are no plans to slash prices of the Xbox 360. Mainly because the console is already competitively priced. While Sony's PlayStation 3 is available for Rs 39,990, Xbox 360 retails for Rs 19,990.
Anand added that keeping in mind the considerably high import tariff structure, as also the company's long term strategy for the Indian market, a price cut was not forthcoming in India.
