I have a performance issue when running HD movies on my laptop. I know that these movies bank a lot on the processor.
My laptop has a 1.73 ghz processor, GeForce Go 6800 and 1 gig of ram. I know its a fossil now, but is there ne way in which i can improve perf with HD movies.
There might be some super light player , codec/splitter, etc.
BTW-> The movie is in MKV format, res(720p), Problem -> After about 10 mins of playing, it sarts to get out sync(picture goes in into kinda slow mo, with sound runnning at the same speed and there is no problem with the movie coz if i restart from the point when it starts to give problems then it works fine again for the next 10 mins or so...)
Please suggest if u know of some thing that might improve perf.

ok...finally got it working. For all the ppl who have a slow processor and need to run HD, use the CoreAVC3 codec. Works like a dream!
