Aaron Greenberg, Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Group Product Manager, confirmed that there will be no X07 taking place this year. Instead he said Microsoft will have to find other ways to release their big surprises such as dashboard updates and so on later this year. squadxp.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3636&mode=&order=0&thold=0so if anyone thought the lack of surprises at E3 was because they were saving them for X07.....well.....yall were wrong peace

Following the surprise departure of Peter Moore from Microsoft, the shocks continue to come thick and fast as Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, reveals the company is scrapping its European showcase X07. Speaking on Squad XP's podcast, Greenberg says: "There is not a real X07 this year but I think that we will figure out some way to talk about 2008 some time at a different event or a different type of programme." The X0 events have been running since 2001 when Microsoft officially introduced the Xbox to European journalists and retailers. Since then, the large-scale event has been used to make key announcements (like last year's Halo/Peter Jackson deal), unveil upcoming AAA titles (Halo Wars) and also show off new hardware. Microsoft were unavailable to comment on the future of the event at the time of writing. xbox360.ign.com/articles/805/805935p1.htmlpeace

Hmmm. Interesting development. Probably not enough new stuff to make hosting the event worthwhile. This does not bode well for the first half of 2008 for 360 gamers.
