Anybody seen the Wii in India? I've been asking for it but nobody is ready to commit when they would be getting the first batch of units.

Why i can/will buy the wii:
my wife occasionally uses the PS2 eyetoy so convincing her that we NEED the wii is not going to be too difficult.
i'm big fan of the zelda series. still remember the mid-80s when i used to spend days collecting 'rupees' in the legend of zelda (NES)
wii sports is bundled with the machine -- looks like a pretty decent party game (another selling point to convince my wife)
i have a DS lite -- nintendo has promised good inter-connectivity between the wii and DS
the wii virtual console is a big attraction for me
dont go to the gym, so maybe the wiimote exercises will keep me in shape LOL

im still skeptical about it,apart from zelda the games arent all that gr8,both the first person shooters are said to be having control issues,so maybe metroid will change that.

there are not many nintendo fans in india.. so i guess not many ppl r interested in selling the wii umm the GBC/GBA and DS/Lite are well known brands in India -- Alfa a store in irla has a dedicated counter for Nintendo vs a general counter for PS2/Xbox/360/PS3 -- i've personally seen him selling 20 dslites within a couple of hours... I've always loved Nintendo consoles & will most definitely by the Wii. Though I'm known for being horribly impatient, and I'm not going to wait till it comes out here, one of my friends might just get it for me. BTW, I believe its coming somtime this or perhaps next week in Palika Bazaar & the shopkeeper said he'll be selling it for 45k

If you are a Zelda Fan, you absolutely can't deny buying a Wii and apart from that, its a Good system to have when you have Friends over. Only if Wii had the remote with more powerful parts, there is no denying that Nintendo would have won this Console War. I will inform you guys if i spot a Wii here in Mumbai anywhere..
