For the first time since its launch, PS3 has managed to outsell the 360 in North America. www.n4g.com/industrynews/News-52919.aspxDS 97,404 Wii 76,394 PSP 50,890 PS2 43,406 PS3 41,005 X360 35,084 GBA 14,451 GC 1,864 Xbox 11 While the 360 sales are about the same, PS3 sales have increased by more than 23k vgchartz.com/aweekly.php?date=39278And worldwide charts X360 57,567 PS3 79,680
A full 22k units more than 360, and that's considering the fact that PS3 still has no killer app at all. This is the combined effect of price drop and kickass E3 lineup. If Sony learns anything from this, we'll see a price drop of 80GB as well and another killer presentation at TGS.

vgcharts again wat else would u expect? Do you have any other source ?? You are welcome to put it here. VGcharts are recently accused of bloating 360 figures. Figure out yourself what that means.

lolz why that figure is impressive because the the sales are till 14july,ps3 price cuts happened on 12th from the start of the week i.e the 7th there were rumors that sony would announce price drop at e3,such news affect sales. considering all ,those are pretty impressive numbers

my guess is that while they increased the 360 sales they can be easily swayed by money so they are an unreliable source

The spiked sales are actually between 12th and 14th only since they didn't put the 499$ console on the shelves until 12th.

But I have to admit, I had originally decided to put off buying a PS3 till next July. But if Sony and the publishers are able to meet their target launch dates for stuff like Home and MGS 4, etc., I will have to seriously consider buying one soon. KC, repay your Wii loan quickly, I need my bonus.

there's no point in making a big deal about one week's sales...let them sustain it for 6 months..then there's something to talk about

^^ i was waiting for someone to pick on that its a sign of things to come, everyone jumped on ps3 right after its release, with time sony will even the figures out. the Wii might continue to lead, but 360 will fall to the ps3, sooner or later. and i say this not bcos im a sony fanboy but because i dont trust MS
