Playstation Premiere 2007: MGS4 Gameplay Finally Seen, New Products in JapanAnd here's what everyone's been waiting for. Hideo Kojima demonstrated the gameplay segment of Metal Gear Solid 4 on actual PS3 hardware for the first time. Kojima showed Snake using his camo suit to disguise himself as a bronze statue, hide in barrels and trash cans. He also showed Snake knocking down enemies rolling the barrel while he is still inside it. After feeling some discomfort, Snake "revives" as he is given a female idol magazine. The producer also revealed that an online multiplayer mode will be in the game and more details will be announced at the 20th Anniversary Party next week. n4g.com/News-52612.aspx +1 just for this single news

PlayStation Premier: Special FFVII System Set for Japan Crisis Core gets the royal treatment. The contents of that mysterious "Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Limited" package for Crisis Core have finally been revealed. One of the many PSP-related surprises at today's PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo, Square Enix announced that the package will bundle Crisis Core with an exclusive Buster Sword strap and a limited edition PSP, all for 25,890 yen. The included limited edition PSP is an original color variation for the new slim model PSP unit. On top of its silver finish, the unit features character and logo decals and a unique serial number. Square Enix will produce only 77,777 of these systems. We expect them to go fast. After all, the Crisis Core bundle hits retail on 9/13, a full week before the PSP redesign will see official release. psp.ign.com/articles/805/805624p1.html

PlayStation Premier: Tekken 6 Going Online Home version to follow arcade version by less than a year. With Virtua Fighter 5 going online on the Xbox 360, PS3 fighters must be wondering when they'll get a chance to experience a true next gen fighter via network play. Bandai Namco provided the answer at today's PlayStation Premier event in Tokyo. According to Impress Watch, the company announced at the event that Tekken 6 will, like Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection Online, feature online combat. The online play will be just part of a variety of new modes that will feature in the home version. And when will that home version arrive? The arcade version isn't due until later this year, but once that's out, PS3 owners will have to wait less than a year for the home version, Bandai Namco confirmed. ps3.ign.com/articles/805/805665p1.html

New MGS4 gameplay infoHere are few tid-bits from the demonstration: ? Can pretend to be dead by using Octocam ? Can crawl forward like a looper by getting the hip up and down ? Can take away enemy's weapons ? Can roll around sideways while lying down ? Can use an electric stun knife to stun an enemy ? Can hide from an enemy under a drum like a cardboard box. A drum is more tough and secure. ? Too much rolling in a drum makes Snake vomit ? Not to make him vomit, you can let him browse a magazine with sexy pics (with more pages than before). Pages can be flipped and you can use it against enemies too. ? The viewpoint can be switched to over-shoulder. ? The FPS viewpoint is also available. A crosshairs is controllable by SIXAXIS ? Hiding in a trash can for a too long time adds bad smell to Snake and enemies can sense it ? You can turn off Octocam by shaking SIXAXIS ? Snake uses SIXAXIS when he controls Metal Gear MKII ? Metal Gear MKII is in the stealth mode and it's hard for enemies to spot it ? Can throw a tornado bomb while lying face up. n4g.com/ps3/News-52630.aspxif u understand japanese then read this- www.famitsu.com/game/news/2007/07/18/103,1184686760,75356,0,0.html

Famitsu.com reports that following a short demo play session of MGS4 at the event, Kojima announced that Kojima Productions is currently preparing a PlayStation 3 version of Metal Gear Online, the online battle game that appeared in MGS3 Subsistence. The site reports that Kojima will play the game live at next week's Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party event in Tokyo and will share specifics on what players can expect.
It is a bit unclear if Metal Gear Online will be a standalone release, or if it will be included as part of MGS4. Hopefully, all will be clarified next week.

Fatal Inertia Returns to PS3It's a been a strange path. Koei's futuristic racer Fatal Inertia was originally announced as a PS3 launch title. The game missed launch, and Koei later announced that it was going to miss the PLAYSTATION 3 altogether. Instead, the title would be appearing on the Xbox 360. Well! The game is back on the PS3, it seems. Koei Chief Operating Officer Kenji Matsubara took the stage at Sony's Japan press event PLAYSTATION PREMIERE 2007 and showed titles headed for the PS3: Ni - OH, BLADESTORM and Fatal Inertia. Not sure if an official announcement was made or if, you know, Fatal Inertia was just slipped back in. Here's hoping no one notices! kotaku.com/gaming/homecoming/fatal-inertia-returns-to-ps3-279577.php

PlayStation Premiere: Final Fantasy XIII is 13% complete.Lots of hot stuff have been oozing out of PlayStation Premiere, but it's not much different from E3 when we're talking Final Fantasy XIII. Sorry for the hopeful fans, but we've only been able to dig up a few bits of juicy info new to the series. It isn't very surprising that we're not getting much, considering that both games are still very early in development. Sony's press materials show that Final Fantasy XIII is still 13% done and its partner (or opposite side, rather) Final Fantasy Versus XIII has a lot more to go. Checking in at 1.3% complete, the game is far from finished. Now what's probably noteworthy from all of this is that Final Fantasy's 13th game in the series (by number) is at 13%, while one other game that shares the name Final Fantasy XIII is clocked at 1.3% complete - at the same time. But before anyone goes spewing out superstitions, check out the new screens for both courtesy of IGN. They aren't really shots that we've never seen before, since they're the same ones in previous trailers on the game, but they look good nonetheless. www.qj.net/PlayStation-Premiere-Final-Fantasy-XIII-is-13-complete/pg/49/aid/97795
