Keita Takahashi(katamari damcy) announces new game for the ps3 titles Nobi Nobi Boy Bandai Namco Games unleashed a big surprise at Sony's PlayStation Premier event today in Tokyo with the announcement of an all new game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi.
Titled Nobi Nobi Boy, all we have on this PlayStation 3 title are just a couple of pieces of artwork. The artwork and name ("Nobi" can mean "to stretch" in Japanese) suggests that the game will center around a flexible wormlike creature of some form.
We expect more details to surface shortly, so be sure and check back soon!

Loco Roco PS3 Officialsource-ign A cameo appearance as part of Sony's Home announcement earlier this year was confirmation enough for many, but today Sony finally made it official: LocoRoco is coming to your living room. Tentatively titled Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco, this PS3 sequel is set to be made available as a PlayStation Network download. We have just a few details at this point, and none of them shed any real light on what we can expect from the game. Sony describes the game as "It's LocoRoco, but it's not -- a peculiar extra chapter." That, and a sentence with three different uses of the world play: "Even if you don't play it [as in control the game], the world and the LocoRoco will play [as in both playing amongst themselves and as in playing back like a video] on their own."Whatever all that means, the PS3 version of LocoRoco is said to feature 200 LocoRoco characters in a new world. You'll be able to use the SixAxis for motion-based controls. While release information was not announced, the game is listed by Sony as being 95% complete, so we don't expect the wait to be too long. For now, get a sampler through the first screenshot in our media section below.

The new version of the game is focused on online play, with new stages and characters. However, Konami is also adding a mysterious new single player mode, Infinity Mission. In Japan, this update will be released in two forms, on its own for 2,400 yen, and bundled with the original MPO as part of a 4,300 yen Deluxe Pack. Take a look at first screens in the media section below. MPO+ is set for Japanese release on 9/20. psp.ign.com/articles/805/805614p1.html

PlayStation Premier: PSP TV New device turns PSP into a portable television.Sony has slowly been upping the functionality of the PSP, taking it beyond just games and movies and into, most recently, the high tech world of global positioning. But it appears that the company is just getting started. As part of a flurry of announcements from today's PlayStation Premier event in Tokyo, Sony Japan announced a 1Seg Tuner device for the PSP. Attach this to the PSP USB port in much the same way that you attach the GPS receiver and camera to the system now, and you'll turn the system into a portable TV that's capable of receiving digital television broadcasts. The 1Seg Tuner will go on sale on 9/20 at a cost of 6,980 yen. It will be compatible exclusively with the new PSP-2000 redesign, so current PSP owners are out of luck. psp.ign.com/articles/805/805622p1.html

PlayStation Premier: Yukes Brings Skiing to PSN Downloadable title to feature motion sensor controls and online play.If you love the SixAxis, you surely love the PlayStation Network. Developers seem more willing to go experimental with motion-based controls when making downloadable titles, and Yukes, maker of all those wrestling games, is no different with its first PSN-exclusive game. Announced today at Sony's PlayStation Premier event in Japan, Go! Sports Ski is a skiing game that's controlled exclusively via motion controls. Your goal is to get the best time on your skiing runs and look good in the process. We presume this means performing lots and lots of tricks by twisting the SixAxis all over the place. Go! Sports Ski will feature global rankings and four player competitive online play. The global rankings bit suggests a worldwide release. In Japan, look for the game in the PlayStation store under the Sony Computer Entertainment label this Fall. ps3.ign.com/articles/805/805627p1.html?RSSwhen2007-07-17_081000&RSSid=805627

PlayStation Premier: White Knight Story Playable at TGS Producer Akihiro Hino demos game before Japanese press. At last year's Tokyo Game Show, Dragon Quest and Rogue Galaxy developer Level 5 surprised everyone with the unveiling of an original PlayStation 3 RPG, White Knight Story. This year, the game will return to TGS once again, only this time in playable form! But before that, Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino brought a playable version of the game to Sony's PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo today and played it live before the press. According to Famitsu.com's account of the demonstration, Hino began by first showing off the game's character creation system. Players will be able to create their own likeness for inclusion in the game, making use of a detailed character creation tool. This tool is so robust that Level 5 itself used it to create the main characters and 1000 or so NPC characters that appear in the game. The demonstration proceeded to the battle field next, with a demonstration of the battle preparation screen that was shown in last year's trailer. Unlike that trailer, though, Hino's demonstration focused on a battle between the giant White Knight character and an equally giant demon. Apparently, while the two giants are fighting, smaller human-sized characters and enemies continue their own fighting below. Hino concluded by stating that Level 5 is working away to bring the quality up for the game's playable debut at the September Tokyo Game Show. Just a few months, and the public (including you if you're hardcore enough to fly out to Japan) will be able to get hands on time with next generation RPG gaming from Level 5. ps3.ign.com/articles/805/805641p1.html
