IS the 5kg transformer necassary? ?? I mean I thought that the PS3 dont require a tranformer to convert the voltage to 220 as the NTSC 110V works on 220v indian supply.??

no the indian supply is not enough so i bought the ps3 without the transformer which is another 1000 or 2000 Rs expensive

hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm...........i thought sony's pow units were universal but if u bought it frm US(110V),ull need a voltage converter(LOCALLY called transformer )to convert 220v(india)to 110V or ur pow unit will burst

a 220v adapter for the ps3 is available for 1.5k
so rather buy tht than a voltage converter.... ;D
