obviously the price is relatively much higher than in the other countries but that is because of the shitty duties which are present in india right now. otherwise sony would not be foolish enough to jack up the prices on their own . anyways i think sony needs to change the perception of the majority of the indian consumers and market the ps3 not as a video game solely but as a complete entertainment device in terms of its blu ray playback ,hard-drive, video chat and so many more extra features which so many people are unaware of.if you project it as a gaming device then many parents would not even give it a thought but if u compare it with other electronic appliances then it is not that much.
