i wrote to milestone about the PS3 and in the reply he mentioned something very interesting
The price of PS3 60 GB console is not high compare to standalone Blu-ray players to be launched soon (estimated price Rs. 60,000-70,000). The advantage of buying official unit would be 1 Year warranty support & access to PSN as and when its launched in India.
i dont know much about the PS3's online service but does it have to be launched here for it to work for us? dont tell me we hav to pull this sneaky XBl stuff all over agin on the PS3!!!

Since you don't have to pay to access (or even play games) on the PSN I don't think you'll have to do any sort of "Jhol" here; I think the "as and when it's launched" part was geared more towards the PlayStation Home service.

Yeah we logged onto the PSN just fine. In fact I played some CoD 3 MP and even downloaded a couple of demos without any sort of problem.

another mail from milestone
Why no PSN at launch? PSN is not available at launch due to payment gateway. However, access may available soon for free content.
Any free game with console? No free game with console since mfg cost is much higher that retail price.
Any Blu-ray movie with console? Blu-ray movie any available upon registration.
