Actually i will second Sanjoy. I live in the usa and actually the majority of people i talk to prefer xbox 360 because it IS (no matter what you say) is more powerful and in the long run the biggest bang for the buck. It has the new XBX LIVE marketplace...you can rent movies download classic arcade games. There are already a number of games that are only coming out for 360. Also, the game Halo has a huge fan base. Halo 3+360=AWSOME. and games like Gears of war. Look at PS3'S Launch titles HAHAAHA im laughing at it! The 360 in the U.S. had wayy better games. Perfect dark zero ect ...The fact is, Xbox had a lead in the market and Sony should have relased its system earlyer if possible. From the consumers eyes they are going to look at it and say...Should i spend my money on a PS3 and get a few sports games and wait for final fantasy??? or should i get the xbox now and choose from a ton of different titles? They will choose B. And like you said Bush Pirate...when final fantasy and all of those other good games come out for PS3 and the people have already purchased there XBox's ...they will look at it and say....whats the point?? This is coming from the west coast of the USA and Canada..I can almost ensure that when you go to Seattle or Vancouver or anywhere in the usa right now, xbox has the majority of fans.

guys relax and read this Sony Misses PS3 Targets in Japan Company sells under half a million in 2006. by Anoop Gantayat
January 9, 2007 - Despite promises of a million systems at Japanese retail by the end of 2006, Japanese publisher Enterbrain reports today that Sony has managed to sell just 466,716 PS3 units to Japan. This figure covers the period from the Japanese launch on 11/11 to the end of the year.
In comparison, Enterbrain reports that Nintendo managed to sell 989,118 Wii units from the 12/2 launch to the end of the year, with the number quickly jumping over the million mark for a total of 1,135,671 units by 1/7.
The firm didn\'t provide 2006 results for the Xbox 360, but did list the system as having sold a total of 290,467 units from its 12/10/2005 launch to the end of 2006. In particular, spurred by the release of Blue Dragon, Microsoft managed to sell 99,798 360 units in December 2006 alone -- the highest month ever for the system (yes, that includes the launch).
Portable gaming has been Japan\'s big star over the past couple of years. Enterbrain reports total Japanese DS and DS Lite sales from 2004 until the end of 2006 as 13,950,000 units. The PSP, while nowhere near the DS, has managed a respectible 4,510,000 units since its launch.
In the case of the Wii, IGN has had trouble finding a system since launch, making today\'s reports of a million plus Wiis sold to Japanese consumers all the more impressive.

it shouldnt matter to consumers if sony missed their sales target or if microsoft exceeded theirs....there's a lot that goes into all that....i think the PS3 is going to be great and i will buy one....its just a matter of when
