I think this is far better in speed than IE7, opera, firefox or netscape. Its really light on system resources and its really fast. "K-Meleon is a web browser for the Microsoft Windows platform. Based on the same Gecko rendering engine as Mozilla Firefox, K-Meleon uses native Windows API to create the user interface (instead of using Mozilla's cross-platform XUL layer), and as a result, is tightly integrated into the look and feel of the Windows desktop[1]. This makes K-Meleon less resource-intensive and more responsive to user input, which is important for users of low-end hardware." To read-more about this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-meleonTo download kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/...hp?id=DownloadTo download skins to make k-meleon look pretty: kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KMeleonThemesWikiK-meleon is highly customizable with a lot of add-ons that a user can add to make it better. It has all the features of firefox i.e. Tabbed browsing, rss feed etc-. It is based on firefox thus it carries all the features of firefox but is lighter and faster. It is also spyware/adaware free. I believe that it is safer also since i have had not found any spyware since i started using it. But this is my personal experience the browser isn't known well enough to be tested for security ( its a hidden gem ). In the end, being light and fast is what counts. If you dont like firefox crashing and hogging all the resources check it out.
