It's official. 1000 units of Xbox 360 will be up for grabs for $100 on Amazon.com at 11 AM PST (Thanksgiving day, 23Nov06)

Amazon's $100 360 Core Pack sale "took place" this morning, and it didn't exactly go according to plan.
Looks like Amazon just weren't ready for the rush. The entire site collapsed under the weight of expectation, Amazon crashing just minutes before the sale was scheduled to go ahead at 11:00am. By the time the dust had settled, and anxious five-second-refreshers were greeted with SOLD OUT messages, 1000 360 Core packs had been sold in less than a minute. (from the web)
