Here's the deal...I have 3 TVs at home and since i live in south mumbai I had to opt for CAS or DTH after a lot of deliberation, I bought 2 TATA Sky connections (DTH) and one CAS connection of Hathway (i already had hathway cable and i had already paid till 2008, so i really didnt have a choice) anyways my TATA Sky connections got activated on 26th December...on the 28th the MD of TATA Sky was on CNBC announcing that all new customers will get free subscription for six months...needless to say, i was extatic....instead of paying 400 bucks per month i wouldn't have to pay anything for another six months so i call the call centre and they tell me that the new offer only applies to customers who buy connections after the 28th....i argued, i even threatened to cancel my connection, but to no avail so basically...i got screwed over...but if u are considering it....get TATA Sky, you'll get six months free......but i won't peace

even I got my tata sky connections fixed on 24 dec. But is this offer available for connections on other tv in your home if you already have tata sky on 1 tv because I got my connection for the other tv in my home on 29 dec. But they didn't tell me about this offer.

didnt something like that happen with you on PES too the rental id 300 permonth not 400 300 for 1st tv + 100 for 2nd tv = 400 per month even I got my tata sky connections fixed on 24 dec. But is this offer available for connections on other tv in your home if you already have tata sky on 1 tv because I got my connection for the other tv in my home on 29 dec. But they didn't tell me about this offer. since the 2nd connection is also part of the the same subscriber ID...the offer doesnt apply to it...u have to register a new subscriber for the offer to apply peace

id go for tata sky or wait for reliance choispad service to come.. that is leagues ahead of tata sky and dth the picture quality is a dream.. it has video on demand.. and also has broadband attched to it.. i have reliance choispad on on one TV and Tata sky on the other.. choispad is jus awesomeeee.. it has inbulit hard disk so u can set a timer and record programs which u miss .. its connectes through lan cables so no dish like tata sky is required

i'd go with CAS here's why TRAI has specified Rs 5 per channel for CAS...that doesn't necessarily apply to DTH...the prices are being kept competitive for now but DTH can hike prices later if you do go in for DTH think about Dish TV...its owned by Zee Turner so they have exclusives like Turner Classic Movies and MGM and a couple others....also, on TATA Sky all Zee channels appear kinda blurred as compared to other channels i wouldn't count on reliance....they always find a way to screw theyre customers CAS offers set top bozes at lower rates and their monthy charges range around 150...whereas DTH is 250-300 my main reason for going in for TATA Sky is they have great affiliations with overseas providers like FOX and Sky and i think in the long run it will turn out better....kinda like the PS3 peace

dude see reliance before commenting on it.. its is far ahead of tat sky it gives u over 2000 english and hindi movies on demand.. and not like tata sky where u have to call up.. its is all there..and u can store recordings on it jus set the timer.. which tata does not have
