Well...since our top forum posters are away, to fill in the void, here's a useless one from me. Your five most memorable boss encounters. I know, there are so many, but you can choose only five. Doesn't have to be in order. Here's my list, 1) The fire dragon in Ninja Gaiden - Took me sometime to finish him. But it was complete chaos. 2) Agni and Rudra in Devil May Cry 3 - Who can forget this adorable couple. 3) Lake Monster in Resident Evil 4 - Tough as nut but real fun. 4) Colonel Volgin in Metal Gear Solid 3 : Do I need to say more ? (Personal note: Beating him without killing him will unlock Russian uniform. If Snake wears it, no NPCs in the game will shoot him.) 5) Final Boss in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence - It was a total rush killing him...If anyone can remember him. p.s. General Raam doesn't even come close .

1. all the colossi from shadow of the colossus(c'mon it would be unfair to choose just one) 2. the end from mgs3(i just loved sneaking behind him with the spirit camo) ;D 3. agni & rudra from dmc3(it was a blast fighting them) 4. the sorrow from mgs3(well, it wasn't much of a boss fight but the setting was really spooky and i couldn't figure out what to do in the end for a long time) 5. ares from god of war(the scene where you fight off against a million kratos' was f'ing AWSOME) can i add just one more, please 6. krauser from re4 ;D one more, just one 7. bitores mendez from re4(i liked this boss fight after mendez's lower body gets cut off) ;D p.s. CC, this is a great idea for a thread especially now that the forum has gone really cold.

2. the end from mgs3(i just loved sneaking behind him with the spirit camo) ;D Are you talking about The Boss ?? I think that was the end battle in MGS3, not considering Russian roulette with Ocelot.

no, i am talking about THE END, man. the old guy with a parrot. the father of sniping.
you can also kill him before with just one shot of your sniper rifle, the scene where he is being escorted in a wheel-chair by some other guy.
this also reminds me of a true story. i once saved my game while fighting the end and didn't play mgs3 for 2 weeks or something. then guess what happened when i played mgs3 again. the end just died man. the paramedic told me that the end hadn't got much time left with him(no surprise since he was a very old guy).
from then on my respect for kojima went through the roof. ;D

no, i am talking about THE END, man. the old guy with a parrot. the father of sniping. Oh..off course. The End. It took me almost two hours to beat him. But I did not kill him. Just used my tranquilizer dart gun and flash grenades to drain his stamina. He finally gave his Mosin Nagant (tranq darts sniper) which I was longing for.

That's why I hate those who spread the false rumors that MGS4 is coming to Xbox 360...what bullshit. I bet there will be many easter eggs for next MGS as well.

he gave you a tranquilizer dart sniper???man, i didn't even know it existed. but he did give me the moss camo. it regenerates your stamina when you stand in a sunny place. it's kinda like photosynthesis.

Well it existed all right. That's the gun he was using all the time . That's why when Snake gets shot, he looses his stamina instead of his life.

I didn't search for it. Although it must've been real fun sneaking up using it, just like the cardboard box.

I didn't search for it. Although it must've been real fun sneaking up using it, just like the cardboard box. i wish it was like that man. but i found it to be mostly useless. i just used it once but the guards spotted me and started firing right away. or maybe i just didn't sneak well enough. p.s. i also loved the part where you could throw snakes at people. that was really funny. ;D p.s. did you play that game which snake gets in his nightmare?

Here's list of secrets from IGN Nightmare Mini-Game After Snake's torture, you can save the game. If you load this save in another game, a sword fighting mini-game will begin.
Snake Pukes: Spin snake in circles in the cure menu to make Snake throw up.
Radio Frequencies?Healing radio will replenish stamina, the special frequencies will have effect if you find a guard that lets the station slip. 140.01 - Salty Catfish / 66 Boys ?140.52 - Rock Me Baby / 66 Boys ?141.24 - Sea Breeze / Sergei Mantis ?142.94 - Pillow Talk / Starry.K ?144.06 - Jumpin' Johnny / Chunk Raspberry ?147.08 - Surfing Guitar / 66 Boys ?147.59 - Sailor / Starry.K ?149.53 - Don't Be Afraid / Rika Muranaka ?Fire Support: 141.31 - This will drop bombs in the area snake is in. ?Call off alert: 144.61?
Mosin Nagant?Max Ammo: 26?A sniper rifle that shoots tranq darts. This can only be obtained by beating The End non-lethally.
Monkey Mask?Beat the monkey challenges to unlock the monkey mask in the story mode.
Unlockable: Moss Camouflage When fighting The End, if you sneak up behind him when he is asleep and hold him up, he shakes down and will eventually give you the camouflage moss.
Hint: Hidden R1 Scenes • Secret 1: When there's the animation with Volgin beating Tatyana, Boss sending The Fear to kill you, The End is there in a wheel chair, etc. When the Boss says: "The Sorrow, is that you?". It gives you a R1 notice, but you're zooming on The Boss. Move the camera to the right to see The Sorrow. • Secret 2: When you kill Volgin on the Shagohad and Eva is about to kiss you, hold R1. You won't get any notice, but it works. You're going to see The Sorrow standing in the background. • Secret 3: After you killing The Boss, once the horse is there, hold R1. You won't get any notice, but it works. You're going to see The Boss spirit with The Sorrow. • Secret 4: When you're shaking hands with the President, hold R1. You won't get any notice, but it works anyway. Move the camera to the left to see Ocelot doing his trademark taunt from the window. • Secret 5: When Big Boss is standing in front of The Boss's grave, hold R1. You won't get any notice, but it works anyway. You're going to see the complete Graveyard. • Secret 6: When Ocelot is leaving the Torture Room, Press R1. You won't get any notice, but it works anyway. You're going to see The Boss doing Ocelot's taunt.

Back to the topic...another five Bosses
1) Giant Ganado from Resident Evil 4 - I just loved those quicktime events.
2) Alma and giant Alma in Ninja Gaiden - I think the intro CG of giant Alma (2nd last boss) was by far the best I've ever seen.
3) The Chariot in DMC3 - A total thumb-swelling, palm-sweating kind of boss.
4) Sea Dragon in God of War - again, a total chaotic battle with some tactic.
5) Goro - Four handed monster from first Mortal Kombat. How can we forget him!!

4) Sea Dragon in God of War - again, a total chaotic battle with some tactic. i loved that boss fight too, especially the finishing move. hey, how come you can have ten? well, here are some more from me. 1. the twins in pop:t2t - this probably was copied from agni & rudra but it was fun none-the-less 2. the mini boss fights in re4 like salazar's bodyguard and the blind guys with claws that put wolverine's to shame. i am sleepy now and can't seem to remember any more cool boss fights.
