You guys are so lucky. It hasn't come here yet I called up Planet M and they said today evening there expecting some new delivery, and said to check back tomorrow. I wanted know if anyone is gonna get Viva Pinata? Looks kinda kiddish, but sure is entertaining when away from the shoot and slash of GOW

if you like animal crossing or the sims you'll like viva pinata as well. it also appeals to kids and girls if someone gifted me a copy, i'd play it -- but will not PAY to play it. V

played SP & MP (co-op). game is not as tough as everyone makes it out to be (at least not the casual mode and i'm *ahem* still on act1)
graphics are as good as the videos, and there are no framerate drops/choke points. the action is intense followed by same old mechanics of finish one fight and move to the next (i.e. in-between periods of emptiness -- they could have tried to flesh out the storyline/characters in these moments with some dialogue). the ai is not too bad and unlike rail shooters (eg COD series) where you have to do everything yourself.
moving onto MP -- tried connecting 6-8 times before i could establish a connection with a host playing act1. as i had completed a few levels i thought it would be a cakewalk, but the co-op gameplay was little different (more enemies). gameplay was smooth and there no was lag (played with a noob from the UK)
inital thoughts after playing around for 1hr or so.
i'm away for 2 days, so no more gaming till sunday morning.

Casual is too easy. Hardcore is also easy till Act 3 or some where close to it and then all hell breaks loose. Don't try Hardcore alone, its frustrating but with a friend fun as anything. Btw on co-op was there any sort of lag ? Or everything registered as it should ?

continuing my ongoing exploits in GoW:
what's the strategy to use to defeat the beserker (boss) for act1? x3 some tips would be appreciated.
another thing about this game, every 2-3 checkpoints when you are pitted against a new enemy, you need time to adjust. maybe i'm getting too old, but i NEED to die a couple of times before grasping the situation and working out a strategy.
did anybody complete act1 or even a few chapters in it without dying?

i think i'm about 1/2 way thru act 1 and i must've died 3 times (playing in casual).....in my defence i'm new to shooters on consoles....never played a shooter on the PS2....only on PC
and this is the best Xbox 360 game i've played.......definitely lives up to the hype.....if i has my way, i would never shoot....chainsaw only

Tip to kill Berserker in Act I - As soon as the level begins, go straight and take a quick right. In the hall, at the end there is a Locked Door. The Game prompts you with pressing "Y" to get your attention.
- Go to that door and stand in front of it and get the attention of the Berserker by shooting at HER with your Gun. If you have got her attention, stand at the door till she charges at you. Wait, wait till the very end moment and press "A" and dive right/left and the berserker will crash at the Door/Wall thus breaking the door and giving you entry to the next hall.
- In total there are three halls ( I think ) and you have to break them by making her charge at you. Small Tip : Once she has crashed and opened the door, she will be confused so do not try to go past her if she is very close to the broken door. Instead fall back and divert her attention again and make your way to the door when she is away from the door "PRESS A" and go sprint mode into the next corridor.
- Repeat this step until you reach the garden/open space.
- Use the hammer of dawn to kill that b!tch.
