No console can hit the sales of the ps2 ever not even wii sanjoy wat did 360 hv 6 months into launch pgr, pdz, bumped up ps2 ports. No console in history had many no of good titles early in its life except the dreamcast.

Naah! Alls coz its High price, it has HD tech that not all game lovers have, plus its games r costlier than xbox 360 4 a few bux, n console 2 aint cheap......But i surely agree, it would catch up as soon as its prices drop, n game availability increases!!!

i think the ps2 is the (IS) greatest console ever. in a couple of years we will have to say godbye to the best piece of technology a person who just wanted to game could own. but, then we have the ps3 who will by then have a very imposing lineup of games to dwarf the 360. but those who have both will obviously get the TOTAL package.

While the PS3 is an impressive piece of hardware, you've got to face the facts. Because of the underwhelming sales, 3rd party publishers are switching their exclusives to different platforms. It has nothing to do with the power of the PS3. Only its performance sales-wise. Nowadays game are beginning to hit the $10 million mark for production. With all that money invested into a game, it's no longer feasible to release exclusives to a customer base that's only 3 million strong. but, then we have the ps3 who will by then have a very imposing lineup of games to dwarf the 360. You're only speculating here. So many exclusives have already jumped ship and have become multi-platform. And with more exclusives who are also probably going to switch, I doubt the PS3 will have an impressive lineup (in comparison with the 360). The price of the PS3 is also a big let down. Someone mentioned that the price difference is only small (relative to the console price), But bear in mind a very large percentage of gamers don't earn an income themselves, and while most of them don't own consoles in this gen (short of maybe a Nintendo DS.). Often the cheapest console will be the one their parents are likely to fork money over for. And seeing as the Wii is $250 and a shit load of fun, parents are more willing to spend money on it, than for a $600 dollar behemoth. While, yes a PS3 is also value for money, when i buy a console...im buying it for the games. and so are most gamers. Yes, it comes with a blu-ray, web browser and other goodies. But really. When I picked up my 360, It was for Forza, Halo 3, Gears of war and all the other great games. Forking over an extra $200 so that my game device can do other things...didn't really do it for me. Most of us already own DVD players and PCs. So why the need to pay the extra money? The final argument for all PS3 lovers is that when there is a price cut, sales will pick up and therefore the PS3 will overtake the 360, there will be more games and therefore the PS3 will win. But face it, even if there was a price cut the damage is already done. The console sales speak for themselves. Third party developers are going to develop multi-platform games. And with a larger number of exlusive titles on the 360, gamers are more likely to go for the console with the more impressive library.
