An awesome RTS game for the PC . Rated M for violence and blood . Seriously (it is rated M) , get it . Its a must or all strategy games.
"FOR THE EMPEROR !!" - Space Marines "FAITH IS MY SHIELD" - Force Commander
"WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!" - Orks
"ON CHARGES OF COWARDICE . YOU ARE SENTENCED TO DEATH" *plasma pistol shot sound* - Imperial Commisar
"NONE can withstand our FAITH!" - SM Chaplain "We LIVE and DIE as BROTHERS!" - SM Chaplain "Pain now! Reward in the afterlife!" - Space Marine Chaplian
+ Plenty of violence !!!
I highly suggest this game for any RTS fan.For the PC only.
PS - i did a search , didn't get any results.

Total Amount of Factions (taking in expansions) - 7 Are they different from each other ? - Very much A brief rundown ? - Space Marines - Costly , but very powerful and versatile.
Imperial Guard - Cheap and Weak , Moderate Firepower in the end , relys on numbers .
Chaos - Truthfully speaking , i've never played as them . >_>
Ork - Melee power with some range backup . Unique looks too !
Eldar - Specialized troops , weak armour though.
Necrons - Slow moving , hard hitting , costs bajaliions though.
Tau - Crap melee (in general) , Great Range attack
Expansions ? - 2 of them - Winter assualt - Adds the imperial guard
Dark crusade - all new campaign , adds the tau and necrons.
Which one should i get ? - Dark Crusade only . Its a standalone expansion , single player , everything is avalible . The only thing you miss is the 5 original (aka , non-tua and necron factions) in multiplayer.
Where can i get it - Ummm.....well...umm....try downloading , i'm yet to find a place in india that sells them . Download it.

I think thats Warhammer 40K : Fire warrior you are talking about , most people didn't like it . And yes , it is possible to show blood in an RTS .

Ehh...Fire warrior was considered just another generic fps , and i have to agree . If you are interest Warhammer 40K has a lot of books and lore too.

The Warhammer 40K is one of my favorite RTS series' on the PC. It's also, the goriest RTS I guess. I still need to play Dark Crusade though... sam, yes you play from a bird's eye view but you can actually zoom in very close to the action and enjoy all the chainsawing and machine gunning. The graphics are some of the best as far as RTS graphics go. @whiteknight: As for quotes, I'd say StarCraft and WarCraft III have better ones. If you keep clicking on the units repeatedly they say some really funny stuff.

No thanks. WC and SC may have had funnier quotes , but the Seriousness of Warhammer 40K simply beats the living hell out of those 2.
