@hundredproofsam, man the things which i wrote r my own personel thoughts it's not the voice of general population of gaming faternity, anyway racing games r not all abt graphics the core gameplay got to b solid enough for hypnotising effect on a gamer, as pgr3 is a simulation based racing game there is no fun element to it as seen in need for speed series. if i have to name one racing game which was fun to play although it was driving simulation it has to be gran tourismo 1 and 2 on ps1, ok now it's a thing of the past but hell yeah it was the gr8est driving games i ever played, later versions of gt were kind of a dissapointment. i've heard much abt forza motorsport and it also incorporates the same game mechanic of parts modification which made me the fan of gt1 and 2. now back to the saints row ok i agree it has better graphics better character animation when compared with gta san andreas, but hey after all it is a next gen game it got to have all those to qualify as a gta beater, but does it beat down san andreas...no way near, just ask 1 simple question to ur gaming heart, does saints row made u smile the way u smiled after hearing carl johnsons witty jokes, does it makes u fall from ur couch as u did when u 1st heard gangsta's stupid rap, i bet non of that happened with saint's row, as it has a monotonous feel to it's gameplay, u just gun down people every now and then and dont even start abt it's dialouge delivery it is as lame as tanya summers bf...lol anyway i just wanna say that people will disagree with me but hey every1 has their own voice and mine just went the opposite way of the normal perception of so called platinum hit. if u want a real comparison for saints row just wait for gta4 arrival as it is a next gen game and will definately blow it's rivals away. thats all i can say bro peace

^^there is even more wrong with that post, but i wouldnt know where to start...so i just wont...theyre ur personal thoughts, and i simply disagree on every point u made on PGR3
just one thing i'd like to point out....if u think PGR3 is a sim racer, u dont know what a sim racer is
lol @ gangsta's stupid rap

haha i dont mind but still i'm confuse abt u saying pgr3 is not simulation based game, then what genre it belongs to. i didn't like it coz the offline mode was over within two days and i didnt had the luxary to play via live, the 2nd thing which offended me was that cars were not customisable so no turbo charger for ma ride, the only thing which i liked about it is it's jukebox which 4 the 1st time in gaming history included punjabi tracks, my fav one is : teri akh mastani ne, i think the the reason that u told me that pgr3 is not a simulation game is bcoz it lacks customisation like forza, i'm i right or wrong this time again...lol peace

PGR is an arcade racer....simulation is all about physics.....if u can drift around a U-turn at over 100mph, its not a sim racer....if u finsihed PGR in two days, u prolly did it on the easiest difficulty setting....try playing on platinum difficulty and then see how long it takes...and sims arent about customizing and filling ur car up with turbo and NOS....its all about tuning...fine tuning the suspension, brakes, etc to perfect the ride quality

vyom i think u r right man, but anyway it was fun making a point...lol, i must say people in this site r more sensible and eligible for being a true gamer, i have seen on gamespot that every1 is talking crap and giving their biased opinion on the console they own. i bet we indians could easily kick their butt in online gaming coz they'll b busy proving among themselves that who the real boss is...lol

all the above mentioned qualities were present in need 4 speed underground 2, so does it makes it a simulation game? nowdays there is so much variety in the gameplay that clear demarcation and proper assigning of a specific genre has becum somewhat confusing, do u agree e.g- nfs underground2

there is no tuning option in any NFS game....like i said, if u can drift around corners at high speed, its not a sim racer...in NFS u can complete an entire lap without once pressing the brake - not the sign of a sim.....now please dont tell me u think NFS is a sim racer, coz i won't be able to handle that

plz go and play nfs underground 2, and see for urself there is an ample tuning possibilities in that game and yes i mean tuning and not just putting on new parts, this time i have to disagree with u abt ur comment that non of nfs games had any tuning options, o yeah this game did had one, thats why i told u that there is a thin line b/w catagorising games as sim or as arcade nowdays, i hope u will c my point, and plz dont think i'm bluffing coz i know i'm not wrong this time around. peace

i have played every NFS game (each one from the the very first one on my pentium 100) except for carbon and i know what is there and what isnt....when u say there is tuning in NFSU2, what do u mean by tuning?

ok this is my last reply in this thread, coz i agree that we r going offcourse, anyway dont u remember that there was a special garage in that game where u could change the set up of ur car parts, it was called performance tuning, it was a gr8 feature but neverthless i hated this game for it's free roaming crap, i hope u remember it now if still u haven't figure it out better ask some 3rd party who had played this game so that ur doubt could b cleared, anyway it was fun arguing...lol i hope u r kool with it peace

i'm always ready for an arguement lol
dont remember seeing performance tuning but i never like NFSU2 so didnt play it much...i liked NFSU tho....even if it did offer tuning options, its physics (like all other NFS games) were arcady and unrealistic....so ya - not a sim
