the review of splinter cell DA is posted on IGN got a 7.9 compared tho the 9.1 the 360 version got to sum it up Graphically, the game looks good, but falls short of the detailed display Sam saw on Xbox 360 last year. Players who ran through the paces in Microsoft-land will notice a slower framerate and the loss of a few small details (things like a smaller quantity of fights during the prison riot, different textures on character close-ups and no goggle-toggle when tossing on Sam's specs). 8.0 Presentation The menus, interface and briefing screens are all stylized to give you that slick, black and green Splinter Cell feel. The addition of dual objectives makes the story an interesting one. 8.0 Graphics Even with a hand penetrating a wall here and a bland room there, the trademark lighting effects and detailed textures make Fisher and company a good looking crew. 7.5 Sound The ambient sounds aren't anything to write home about, but they never seem out of place. The voices work extremely well. 8.0 Gameplay Hanging from poles, shooting silenced machine guns and some solid controls keep with the well-oiled scheme Splinter Cell has been built on. 6.5 Lasting Appeal The solo story isn't that long but features three difficulties for the dedicated. Still, the game's online component is severely lacking in the fun department. 7.9 Good OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average) ps3.ign.com/articles/778/778514p1.html
