this may be a bad move by MS business-wise but i welcome it.....its about time companies stop making threats and start acting....sure the hackers will always come up with a new loophole, but by doing stuff like this MS will make it tougher for them and create uncertainty in a consumer's mind to a point where they will think twice about modding...i think its a great move by MS hopefully sony and nintendo will follow suit peace WINNER!!! took the words right out of my mouth. nintendo will never ban pple for modding..... cuz their previous console (gamecube) was a hit only for the fact tht it was so easy to mod.... see the gameboy etc also.... cuz unlike sony and MS.... nintendo make money even of their consoles.... ;D

It's also possible MS also bans based on stuff like bad credit card info for your country, running a NTSC machine with euro-address/credit card (or inverse), having out-of-region (arcade) games and demos on your HDD, unofficial 360 HDD, internet downloaded gamesaves etc. There's no clear view on all this yet. xbox-scene.com/

arrey nahin yaar....its a known fact tht ppl are making fraud GT all over the world....even MS knows it...and since they have not banned us, u can be sure tht they dont have a prob with it....so dont worry...just do what u wanna do and nothing is gonna happen...
the only prob is tht we have to call the US helpline..!! i hope its toll free..!!
ps - im not cancelling it yet...coz im not sure live will launch in india in 2 months....if it doesnt, then i will have to renew my US GT...so i think ill wait till the last moment...

MS doesn't mind cause they are getting money easy thru these accounts(illegitimate all the same)
I'll switch my contact details to my Indian address as soon as live comes out

U can change the address on the US GT but then you're still going to have to select a US State...that keeps it a US country and nayways you can't change the country option. I might be wrong...
