i havent been checking the sc3ne sites lately so im not fully updated; from what i remember the XSATA was some sort of a HDD mod for the 360... even so, can you simply copy regular xvids/non DRM compliant videos to the your 360 HDD and watch them?? V

^^ thats where the xvid support comes in peace just having access to the video files on HDD or CD or memory card is not enough - if that were the case, you should be able to play MPEG1 and MPEG2 files copied using the XSATA even now - can you? I dont know, but i'm guessing Not! V

MS will NOT support divx - MPEG4 doesnt automatically imply divx for which they will need to shell out royalties - how they plan to implement xvid support (if at all) is another matter altogether.
Movies encoded in MPEG4 are available on video on demand sites (but they use DRM and expire or can only be played in custom media players)
