its basically the first game with enhanced graphics and redone cutscenes,so you are saying mgs1 sucks??? no its not. the game is not developed by konami or kojima its by silicon knights a uk based dev. the cutscenes were directed by Ryuhei Kitamura and every scene used over the top action using slow mo's, jump cuts etc the mgs2 game engine was used with the new gameplay elements like fps and other stuff added while the level design remained the same

whats not??the game is enhanced compared to mgs1,i wasn't talking about mgs2 here, the cutscenes are a bit goofish especially with bullet time and all but still good IMO
and no silicon knights is not uk based, they are canadian developers, they were a former 2nd party to nintendo.
edit
about the fps option,it was simply that just an option,it didn't hurt the experience one bit.

i have heard similar rumours that twin snake wasn't as gud as mgs solid snake, anyway i just know 1 thing 4 sure that mgs1 was the best game in the series, who can forget the awesome bose fights, i defeated vulcan raven with just claymore mines, it was so much fun. and the joy of saving meryl was overwhelming....i thank mr. hideo kojima for giving us 1 of the most cinematically awesome game. peace

as i said gfx and cutscenes were not the only thing enchanced they re-did the game with the mgs2 engine ,without changing the level design. go play revolver ocelot batlle in the ps version and the gamecube version ull know what i mean. kojima simply made the game for the cube because miyamoto asked him to.

it wasn't as great because the game wasn't extended on like REmake but still it had most of the stuff that made the first game great intact for better or worse.
you would appreciat twin snakes more if you hadn't played the original already.

defend it all that u can ,but twin snakes will always get step-brotherly treatment from the fanboys. like i said earlier if you are playing a mgs game for the first time through twin snakes, you'll love it since this was a remake,it had a high chance of not reaching the expections of its loyal fanbase but still it doesn't make it a bad game and no i don't think its the best in the series, that honour goes to Snake Eater, the game with the best ending ever.

i want hideo to make remakes of those two games which came a decade ago on 8bit console ( these games were a bonus in metal gear subsistence dvd ) i have read the stories of these two games on mgs1 bonus extras, zanzibar and grey fox sounds promising if they come on existing consoles, though it's just my wish but i hope it may turn up for real. peace

i also want hideo to make the 8 bit remakes ,although mgs is a sequel to mg2 solid snake, its more like a 3d remake of the game. snake eater has the absolute best ending in a video game without a doubt, but i still think mgs2 was a better game and had a better story.
and aman as for gray fox play mgs:po for the psp that game has a young gray fox ,tho i wont reveal who he is.

snake eater had a very good story, very emotional one too,i still remeber i was nearly about to cry in the ending graveyard scene ,but since my brother was sitting next to me i couldnt.instead at saluted at the screen,no other game has made me do that and i think there will be a similar moment in MGS4 when snake will die. SOL had a very complicated story, not flawless but very unique, you got to hand it to the man he took the big risk when he gave raiden the lead role, and it nearly paid off,mgs2 is today remembered for all the wrong reasons ,but if kojima would have stuck to the formula and made a straight forward game ,it would have got even more appreciation.the end of SOL dosent clear up things, but this is one game that you'll have to replay again just to find decipher the story

umm man i dont own a psp but 1 of my my friend does so i have to persuade him into buying mgs...lol. well every mgs story is unique after all hideo kojima is a gaming genious, anyhow i was so touched by the relationship of big boss and snake, according to me the story was told in such a manner that even a non emotional draconian devil would also shed a tear, if dante can cry inspite of being a devil who we r to say anything....lol when snake was being tortured by volgin i was just abt to break my tv coz my blood was boiling and i wanted to kill volgin for hurting snake, anyway i have never seen such a cruel boss as volgin in my gaming life, and i was so happy when i finaly kicked his ass...lol u know the theme music was the strongest point of snake eater, espeacially when the snake visit big boss grave, it made the whole scene so dramatic. eva how can we not mention her if we talk abt se, she worked as a true gear in the relationship of big boss and snake, without her snake wouldn't have known the real plot of this story. she was a true femm fatale peace
