one thing to note is that both ps2 and psp were launched in india and in both cases they gave milestone the consoles and said goodbye and good luck.sony showrooms didnt even keeps the ps2's when they first came.if they go the same way as before (and am sure they will) dont expect much from sony.

@ KC i dont agree
firstly, after 360's tryst with india. Sony has to put brave face against its competitor in the same territory...
secondly if u would have noticed that they recently came out with the offers and price slash of the PS2 games and console....i could even see psps stacked for display...(not that they were happily selling zillions but just that they were putting it for sale atleast).
i think they are taking india a bit more seriously after the microsofts foray.....

that all happened recently ,sony titles got cheaper becaus ei heard that they were manufacturing it here ,hence no import duty.
would love to see what their stratergy will be with the ps3 . although i might get the wii there are quiet a few modchips that are out that can make the wii region free.

Here in delhi raids are been conducted by piracy department and sony india...i went to buy some mp3 and some blank dvd for my self..and saw tht all shops were closed..but will they stop? the answer is no they were selling outside the shops and some closed the shutters but they were still inside just knock and they will let you in...all the playstaion and psp stuff was taken away...everything was cleared...and the shopkeeper told me tht..they are bringing in the new playstaion 3 here by end of april..but no will here will buy it as we already have the ntsc uc and j models..
Sony is trying but none of this will help this is india

I think the price is reasonable, i was expecting it be priced in the 50K range.
I am getting one for sure by the first week of may.
